I can't believe you were the absolute last guest in Epcot. That is a pretty esteemed honor!

I have started writing day 1. It took a while to get organized, but it's getting there. Oh you will love seeing the Canadia side. I understand the US side is more relaxed and the Canadia side more touristy. It really is fun.

Aww thanks Mary Ellen. I've heard good things about September. I planned my dates around a number of other DIS trips, so hopefully I will meet some more. I have a couple planned out already.

Hi Rob! I've been following your TR for a few weeks but this is the first time I've commented. Allow me to echo everyone else's sentiments and say that your report has been incredible! Your writing and genuine emotions have made me laugh and cry, we really are on this trip with every high and low, Disney-style (so the best kind of highs and lows at least!). You have honestly taught me a lot about some great ways to tour the World, particularly solo. I've been wanting to do one for awhile but other things keep getting in the way.

It also makes me very happy when I hear that someone may take a solo trip as a result. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I hope you get to do that one day.

Your time at the Christmas Party really makes me feel like I didn't get to take full advantage of it! Oh well, I guess it's just another excuse to go back during the holiday season!

You know, I think everybody has their instincts for which way they go in the World Showcase. As a kid, for whatever reason, we always went left first. I think it's because my parents really like margaritas! But then on the honeymoon we went right first. Basically I plan which way I'm going around what food I want to eat at what time and how long it will take to walk there!

Cool that you met Jess!! I tried to go barefoot for a little while in the World Showcase (it was after a wedding and I had heels on that were so uncomfortable) and I got reprimanded by a CM

That story about the pin is so cool! It really does seem like some Disney magic.

Voices of Liberty are so amazing. That would be one of my absolute dream jobs to have - I love to sing and harmonies are just so much fun. I just finished a show where me and 3 other girls did a 4 part harmony, and we recorded ourselves singing it a capella. There is really nothing like a capella singing! And I never even thought about how they would be doing Christmas songs. That will be a must-do when I someday come back during the holidays!

Wait, so what is that American dream? And why have I never heard of it? It looks good, even if you did pick the wrong straw!

Aww Becky, there is always a great excuse to go back and try again. I went to 2 and still didn't cover everything.

I'm finding that to be the case. Everyone seems to have a preferred starting point. For me it was always just habit. But I also usually came in on the right side, so that probably has more to do with it than anything.

That was a pretty nice reward for going left I must say. The barefoot thing cracked me up. I don't think there's any way I'd be able to do it. I hadn't even thought about the rules. But I guess a lot of places do have a no shoes, no service policy.

That was an amazing experience very few would have I think. But I sure don't recommend trying.

I have started the writing for that and organizing the photos (it's taking longer than I expected). A very special trip but still with a fair amount of Disney sprinkled in.

Well I know that we are all excited to hear all about your trip, but also understand the time it takes to get it going so no rush and no worries friend!
That is a cool hobby to have! I have managed to video all of our Disney Trips so far and it can be so tedious taking all of the footage and turning it into one video or movie. I still have footage from our Dec trip to WDW and our CA DL trip that I just have put on the back burner for now lol. Thank you again for your kind words on my TR about the whole job thing. From what you said it sounds like you and I have an awful lot in common with our companies. I am sorry to hear about what has happened to your company and how they value you and your job, and I know all too well how that feels. It sucks!
BTW I forgot to mention congrats on your decision to make a Sept return to your WDW home!!! So excited for you I saw that you were going in Sept. and I got excited because we are going in Sept, and then I saw your dates and was like whomp whomp whomp. Maybe someday

It's coming soon. Part one is done and the first day photos are ordered. As soon as I get a few chapters ahead, it'll be started, I assure you. Look for it in the next day or so.
Video editing is so much fun. Just a great opportunity to be creative. Maybe if it was a job it wouldn't be as much fun, who knows? It was a lot of work, but the result was worth it I think. Oh Jenn, of course. I completely understand what you're going through. I'll be honest. I always do the best I can. That's how I was raised. But I honestly look at it as a means to an end (i.e. it pays for Disney). Nothing more, nothing less.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to returning. It's kind of bitter-sweet though. Most of the people from the December trip that made it so special aren't there, so it's going to be a little tough I think. BUT, I've already made some DISmeet plans (and more to come I hope), so not all is lost. That's helping a lot. Hopefully I'll share a bit as we get closer. And... I KNOW!!!! When you had posted about September I got pretty excited too. When you said it was early Sept, I was pretty bummed.But hey, maybe you'll have to push it out for some reason, lol. A guy can hope.

Okay, sounds like a plan! That'll be fun to meet up at Magic Kingdom. Our FP's are for 3-4pm and then I have some for Ariel at 4:50, so you can definitely come meet her with us since that will be a lot easier to get a FP for. (I was only able to get FP's for Mallory and I by luck so the boys and my sister will probably stay at Hollywood and ride the bigger rides while I have the girls with me) We can FOR SURE ride It's a Small World since we all know it's your favorite ride!

We can definitely exchange numbers since it's so much easier to just text while we're there.

Well, Rob...once again we'll miss each other by a matter of days! We'll be leaving the World on Sept. 13th. It was just a matter of days in December as well. One of these years the moon and stars will align and we'll be in Orlando at the same time. I hope you plan on a TR for your September trip....I'm getting more and more excited for mine coming up.

Pretty cool to be the last person out in the park. I think if you tried hard enough, you could've just spent the night in Epcot. Held the security guard up with a BB gun and forced him to ride all the rides. Only, Walt obviously can't show up to forgive you, and I would imagine the drunk tank in Orlando is not a place you'd want to be. Would have made a great story and historic TR.

Not only great, but completely needed on my part. I really needed a pick me up at that moment. Haha, yeah. may have chatted a bit too long though. But to have the experience of walking through a completely empty park was pretty darn awesome.
