I am really looking forward to hearing about your Niagara Falls trip! I finally have a new passport and I hope to visit the Canadian side of the falls. Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
Congrats on booking your September trip.Woo hoo! That's a great time of the year to go!
I can't believe you were the absolute last guest in Epcot. That is a pretty esteemed honor!![]()
I have started writing day 1. It took a while to get organized, but it's getting there. Oh you will love seeing the Canadia side. I understand the US side is more relaxed and the Canadia side more touristy. It really is fun.
Aww thanks Mary Ellen. I've heard good things about September. I planned my dates around a number of other DIS trips, so hopefully I will meet some more. I have a couple planned out already.

That's exactly what it felt like too... a true honour. Not many people can say that I imagine.
Hi Rob! I've been following your TR for a few weeks but this is the first time I've commented. Allow me to echo everyone else's sentiments and say that your report has been incredible! Your writing and genuine emotions have made me laugh and cry, we really are on this trip with every high and low, Disney-style (so the best kind of highs and lows at least!). You have honestly taught me a lot about some great ways to tour the World, particularly solo. I've been wanting to do one for awhile but other things keep getting in the way.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Looking forward to the wrap up and the Niagara trip!
Oh my goodness. First WELCOME!!!! And second, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I truly appreciate every last word you said. Disney for me is pure emotion, not things and sights and sounds, but emotion. I'm so glad that comes across.
It also makes me very happy when I hear that someone may take a solo trip as a result. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I hope you get to do that one day.
Thank YOU for reading. Niagara is coming up very soon.
Your time at the Christmas Party really makes me feel like I didn't get to take full advantage of it! Oh well, I guess it's just another excuse to go back during the holiday season!
You know, I think everybody has their instincts for which way they go in the World Showcase. As a kid, for whatever reason, we always went left first. I think it's because my parents really like margaritas! But then on the honeymoon we went right first. Basically I plan which way I'm going around what food I want to eat at what time and how long it will take to walk there!
Cool that you met Jess!! I tried to go barefoot for a little while in the World Showcase (it was after a wedding and I had heels on that were so uncomfortable) and I got reprimanded by a CM
That story about the pin is so cool! It really does seem like some Disney magic.
Voices of Liberty are so amazing. That would be one of my absolute dream jobs to have - I love to sing and harmonies are just so much fun. I just finished a show where me and 3 other girls did a 4 part harmony, and we recorded ourselves singing it a capella. There is really nothing like a capella singing! And I never even thought about how they would be doing Christmas songs. That will be a must-do when I someday come back during the holidays!
Wait, so what is that American dream? And why have I never heard of it? It looks good, even if you did pick the wrong straw!
Awww, Riley is just too sweet! I definitely would've been on the monorail back to Epcot too.
Yay for booking a September trip!! I love Disney in September. I'll be there about a week after you though - arriving on October 2! I'm looking forward to hearing about Niagara Falls too, because I definitely don't want this TR to end!
Aww Becky, there is always a great excuse to go back and try again. I went to 2 and still didn't cover everything.
I'm finding that to be the case. Everyone seems to have a preferred starting point. For me it was always just habit. But I also usually came in on the right side, so that probably has more to do with it than anything.
That was a pretty nice reward for going left I must say. The barefoot thing cracked me up. I don't think there's any way I'd be able to do it. I hadn't even thought about the rules. But I guess a lot of places do have a no shoes, no service policy.
Thanks. It was a thrill to do that.
OMG they were incredible!!!!!! I will never miss them again. I'm looking forward to seeing their normal set. Do you have that video??? I'd love to see it! Maybe on FB?
It is good. It's just slush and ice cream, but so very refreshing. Just get a big straw!!!
Oh God, I'm tearing up again. I adore that kid so much, there was nothing going to stop me from going back.
Thanks, but BOOOOOOO to missing you again. Awww gee thanks Becky! It looks like the Niagara mini TR may be a bit longer than I originally thought, so it may well carry on until the next trip, lol.
I LOVE Canadia's flag! An excellent representation of the very best of Canadia.
DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY!!! So excited for you! Our dates overlap, I will be there Sept 22-Oct 6!! There will be many Dismeets going on for you hopefully. Sounds like a lot of Diser's are going around that time.
So glad you got to see Brenda and chat for a bit and have a proper goodbye! What a great trip you had, even right up to your last night! How amazing!!
Oh my gosh, how cool to have a special escort through Epcot and to be the very last guest there!! THAT is a great experience.
I am looking forward to seeing how your trip was in Niagara Falls and Canada's Wonderland (which isn't even close to Disney, but still fun).
Awww thank you!!! I'm quite fond of it myself.
YAY!!! I hope we get to meet too. I'll be at the Halloween party on the 23rd (just bought my ticket). I'm so hopeful for many many DISmeets this time. Not having the same crew from last trip is going to be rough.
Oh me too!!! I had to see her one last time to thank you for everything she did for me. She's so awesome! I loved that trip so much that I'm honestly nervous to go back. It's going to be so hard to compare.
That was an amazing experience very few would have I think. But I sure don't recommend trying.
I have started the writing for that and organizing the photos (it's taking longer than I expected). A very special trip but still with a fair amount of Disney sprinkled in.
I'd be staying off site as well if our trip could cost $585! That's awesome! What are your plans for your arrival night, the 17th? I just scored an Anna & Elsa FP, so Mallory and I will be park hopping over to the MK that evening for the surprise! Maybe we can meet up then! Just a thought!
Exactly. I have some other potential Disney plans for the relatively near future (maybe), so I wanted to keep this one as cheap as possible. I have absolutely no plans at all for arrival day. And I get in relatively early (12:45), so that would be awesome to meet up that night in MK!!! Maybe I can somehow score a A&E FP too!!! (Unlikely, but you never know). Maybe we can exchange numbers for text (as a backup in case I can't get WIFI for FB). Regardless, I'm totally down and excited!!!
