So -- How do I tip sit down lunch ? Should I just bring cash? Since assuming they wont be my nightly servers ?

You don't tip for embarkation day lunch. The gratuities you pay to your dinner server covers all meals (since they are the ones serving breakfast & lunch in the sit down restaurants also. Even if you don't have "your" servers for lunch, they are covered.

You're going to find the basically standard buffet foods - chicken, veggies, salads, shrimp, soup, breads, desserts.

Usually some kind of carved beef or pork also.

When I think about boarding, its about seeing that duck statue, then heading up with suitcases in tow to that big pile of shrimp and crab legs they always have.

I would prefer keeping the buffet in the dining room. As I said, it's a much quieter option for those who need it. Now, unless you want to waste time waiting for a meal, anyone requiring a quieter spot for lunch is going to be required to use room service, I guess (once the rooms are available). The quick serve locations poolside and Cabanas are less than peaceful, and I think that can cause problems for some.

We did not find it took any longer (total time in MDR) to order and eat than it did for the buffet. Not sure what we are going to do on the Magic next month. We will have our 2 year old DGD with us so will decide upon embarkation where we are going to head.
