Me and my DH love Emperors New Groove, is there any merchandise in the parks, or characters. I realize it wasn't Disneys biggest hit, but we love it..

ITA. That movie makes me laugh so hard I cry every time I watch it. :rotfl2:

There really hasn't been much at WDW from the movie, no pins I could find or anything. I ended up getting Kronk pins from an online site with stuff from Disneyland, I guess they had more of it out there. I did get a drawing of Kronk and Yzma done by one of the animators at the Art of Disney.

Hopefully, they will have more now, since they released Kronk's movie (not as good as the original) and they now have a show on Disney channel called The Emperor's New School, which my kids love and they may have things to promote that.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW-The safety spiel movie at Soarin' is done by Patrick Warburton, who did the voice of Kronk. :teeth:

Everytime my cousin and I go on a ride together, one of us has to yell "Yzma, put your hands in the air!!" hehehhee

My DD and her girlfriend (14 years old) absolutely LOVE that movie. They watch it almost every time they get together. The three of us will be at WDW in 3 weeks. If anyone finds out about any merchandise at WDW before then, please do tell!
P.S. They did not really care for the follow-up movie, either.

we were there when we thought they would really have characters out--right before the sequel came out. NOTHING!! It is the most underrated Disney movie there is. My husband teases my girls that his favorite princess is Yzma princess: He says she is the most beautiful one there is. :rotfl:
We really wanted a pic with one of them and were surprised they weren't out at all. We are thinking of going to DL, do you really think there is more about them there? Are the characters out? :lovestruc

As you can tell from my user name, I'm a fan, too.

There was, once upon a time, Kuzco and Kronk characters that were brought out after the movie's release and through 2001. By the time we came back Dec. 2002, we never found them.

I would love more than anything to get pics with them, but, sigh, I should have gone in 2001 to do it!

No offense, but that movie has to be one of the worst movies of all time in the history of Disney!

Yzma and Krunk ROCK.

I think it's particularly interesting how it's got a Rocky Horror Show-like aspect to it . . . people (including unnamed members of my family) have watched it over, and over, and over . . . and can recite snippets of dialogue verbatim.

Squeak-squeakity, squeak-squeakin.

this movie ruled! one of the few I can watch over and over again.

let me guess, raging waterfall, with sharp pointy rocks at the bottom. Bring it on.

There are a limited number of shirt designs available from the Disney Inkshop at Zazzle with Kuzco on them.

The Groove.....Beware The Groove.....

Yep - One of my Favorites....vastly underated. I've never seen any ENG merchandise in WDW.

They didn't think that ENG was going to do that well, and when the reviews started coming in Disney were doing everything they could to push the DVD.

My BF and I saw it by chance on the Disney Channel and were just cracking up. Love it. IMO, it's Disney's best animated film of recent years. The closest they've come to Pixar-quality as well.

Hey ............NO TOUCHY :cool1: :cool1: :rotfl2: :confused3  :bounce:

I think this is one of the funniest movies ever, My DD7 plays out the scenes as we are watching it.

The Emperor's New Groove was released right about the time when I thought that I was too cool for Disney, thus I never saw it in the theater.

However, just a few weeks ago the Disney Channel was airing it and I loved it. My Husband and I were cracking up throughout the entire thing.

I am surprized that Disney does not play up the llhama aspect more. It surely would fit in nicely with some of the theming in AK.

And as we all know Llhamas are the coolest animals!

There's a llama in Rafiki's Planet Watch (I was just fascinated by it.. but it was too cool to get up and come near me!). They could play it up more though.

I remember asking a CM at the World of Disney if they had a plush Kuzco as my DS just loves this movie. This was right after the movie had been released and I thought it would be no problem to find a plush. The CM asked looked at me like I was  then asked me as seriously as she could,"What is a Kuzco?"

Don't count on finding much of anything.

My family also loves this movie. Everytime we see a lllama (on TV, in a field, book, etc.) it is a race to see who can say "Llama, he's suppose to be dead!" first.
