Emperors New Groove.....anywhere....

HUGE hit in our our house too!

It never ceases to amaze me how many times in recent history Disney has missed the boat on merchadising. Hopefully Bob will bring some good changes / return to the way things were. Remember when each store offered something different. Part of the fun in going to ALL the shops was seeing what hidden treasures you could find that nobody else did. Now it's all the same no matter where you go (with a few minor exceptions). Sad.

One of my DD's first words were "Eah, Pacha?" lol. I can't even remember what part that is, but I can hear it. It took us forever to figure out what she was saying. But DH laughs at those little phrases so hard. I guess she just picked it up. :lmao:

They did make a beanie of Kuzco, although I never saw it for sale at WDW. I got him off eBay and he's very cool, because he has shaggy llama "fur". I also bought a pin of Kuzco that I wear on our trips and more people have asked me where they can find one. Disney really is missing out on $$$ and I'm afraid the sad sequel/Disney Channel show is just ruining a good thing.

No offense, but that movie has to be one of the worst movies of all time in the history of Disney!

Geez.. How could all of these people saying how much they love this movie take offense at that?

One of my favorite Disney movies of all time.

"Don't know, don't care."

"It's my birthday gift to me. I'm so happy"

Emperor's New Groove is truly my favorite Disney movies in recent times. I just watched it today and laughed :rotfl2: even knowing what was coming. Nemo was good...entertaining...but nothing makes me laugh as hard as ENG. And The Incredibles was great, but in a very different way, IMO.

Regarding others who do not like it, I think perhaps it is a sense of humor thing. Sort of like Monty Python. (Not that I'm saying ENG is like Monty Python, but it takes a certain sense of humor to enjoy it, and not everyone has that sense of humor.)

And I never liked your spinach puffs. Never!

Even my non-Disney-fan-husband loves this one! It's great!

I posted this same question a year ago before DH and I went for our first trip ever (we have two, possibly three more in the works....you could say we liked it!)

We were SO disappointed that there was NOTHING in the parks! And we too, on EVERY ride said..."Oooo, Oooo....Yzma, put your hands in the air!"

"Was this woman scary beyond all reason?"

My DS got a Pacha and Kuzco beanie from the Disney store when the movie first came out. We also saw Kuzco as a llama in a meet and greet under the "hat" at MGM in Dec 2004, but never saw any merchandise on Disney property. We also love this movie!

I'll jump in as a big fan of the movie, too! In addition to the "No Touchy, No Touchy!" quote that my family uses all the time - with the hand motions, :)
We also use "Cheese me no likey" quite a bit, too. (inserting other foods in place of cheese at times) ;)
It is a hilarious movie!

We rented ENG when DD was 4 years old. She eventually got bored and left the room, but DH and I watched it and laughed so hard we cried! It is one of our favorite Disney movies, and now that DD is older, she loves it too. Someone on a Disney board once mentioned this, and I still think it would be a great idea, to change one of the water parks into "Kuzcotopia".

Of course, I love anything with Patrick Warburton in it! (Kronk, David Puddy from Seinfeld, Joe on Family Guy, the Soarin' intro...) He is so funny!

I am just about to go home for lunch. All this talk has made me anxious to watch it again, So I am popping it in the DVD as soon as I get there. I will be back later.

Tell us where the talking Llama went and we will burn your house to the ground.
