We have never used EMH and will on our next trip. Do you have to use the bus system to use EMH? If you drive how do they seperate the ones staying at the resorts or those staying off site?

As far as I know, you don't have to use the bus system to use the extra magic hour. The place where they check your resort ID is at the turnstyles. If you don't have one they'll make you stay outside the gate until official opening time. But as far as I know, they'll let anyone park in the lots at that hour, offsite guest or onsite guest.

We drove to many EMH openings staying onsight. Yes, they allow all cars in at that time, but only those showing onsight resort cards will be allowed to enter the actual park an hour earlier.
