I read the unofficial guide and it talks alot about avoiding the parks with EMH. I am going the first week of December, so do you think this is really necessary at the least busy time of the year? I can see avoiding them at peak season, but I think I'd be ok in December...What do you think? Thanks!!!

We went in early February and could not understand why it was so packed on the EMH mornings and then my wise wise wise husband said "perhaps now that the ticketing structure has changed less people are adding the park hopping option and these same people are all scheduling themselves to visit the emh parks on those days in order to optimize their time in that park". Judging by the hour long line just to get into both Epcot and MGM, I think he's exactly correct. It was not fun. After the first two experiences we went elsewhere but we are AP holders so we can hop if we want.

I didn't try out the EMH morning hours last week, but the evening hours were awesome for both Magic Kingdom and Epcot (we missed AK and MGM).

I wouldn't hesitate to do a non EMH park during the day and hop to an EMH evening park at night. It worked great for us last week (President's week).

i vote for skipping it too kelly

When were there in a not busy season we only hit Animal Kingdom on the early entry day and it was our worst day for crowds, lines, and rude people! Coincidence MAYBE - :confused3
But it WAS the only day we ever even tried it! Never mind we rushed there to stand in lines to get in and we never had to stand in a line to get in a park other than that!
Hope that helps! ;)

and WELCOME to the DIS
