EMH night parks during daytime

I was wondering if anyone has went to the night EMH park during the day and noticed that the crowds were smaller? Since I have been reading on some threads that the EMH nights are very crowded I thought instead of going to the late nights it would be better to go to the EMH park during the day. I also wonder if going to Disney Quest on a EMH night would be a good idea. Has anyone tried DQ instead of EMH night? We are going to be at the World July 7th to July 13th and was planning on doing every early and late EMH but now I am having second thoughts about EMH nights. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just bumping this up to see if I can get an answer. We are arriving at Disney in 3 weeks and need to know if I should change my stategy regarding late nights.
Thanks,

Actually, it's just the opposite. Since the EMH evening hours are longer than the morning hour, people who do no buy park hoppers seem to be choosing the EMH evening park. And so that park will get more and more crowded as the day wears on.

We are leaving in 9 days!!!! We usually go the park with the early EMH and leave around noon to head back to the pool and rest up and go to a different park for dinner and the rest of night. However, we are concerned about some of the crowds for the evening EMH so we are going to play those by ear, especially the one in MK, but we are going to try it because there is only 1 evening EMH at MK during our stay.

Last Sunday we went to MGM in the AM for SWW - it was PM EMH park. We had been there on both Fri and Sat for opening and until 3 PM - Sun AM was MUCH more crowded - we headed out of the park by 1PM - can't say how long the waits were as we were just there for SW stuff, but overall, the park on Sun was jammed compared to the 2 prior days - walkways were packed, extremely long lines for characters.

Had PS at CRT on Mon @ 8:10 - MK opened at 9 and was an added PM EMH day. We (mis!)figured that maybe it would make the park a little less crowded that morning as people might sleep in and come later since the park was opened until 1 AM. We were at the rope drop behind the castle at 9 AM, spent a few minutes watching Tink being awakened, picked up FP for Stitch, stopped for a quick autograph with Buzz as he walked out as we were walking to his ride - rode Buzz - headed over to Space Mt (now only 9:30) and the line was already 45 mins long !! Decided to walk over to BTMRR - 15 min wait - then Splash - 20 min wait - as we came off Splash the posted time had been moved to 45 mins at 10:15 ! As crowded as we thought the park was that morning, we could not believe the sea of people coming up main st as we were leaving at 1:00 ! My opinion is that, yes, people are choosing the PM EMH park for their entire day.

Thanks so much for your info. I am going to re-plan our stategy. Will probably have to call Dining again and reschedule but oh well I'd rather be at the parks with the lesser crowd so we can enjoy the trip more. My niece will be with us and this is her first time to the World. I want it to be extra special. Can you believe she is almost 25 and has never been. Our son is 12 and this is his 5th trip. We are really excited about having a new visitor to Disney and we want her to have a great time. We can't wait, only 3 more weeks!!!

Hint Hint - If you have a hopper passes, go to the park that had the extra magic hours THE NIGHT BEFORE, not the night of - it is usually the least crowded park in the early AM. Think about it - who wants to stay at MGM until 11pm only to go back the next day at 9am :confused3 We found that hint here somewhere our last trip and it was oh so true :earsgirl: MGM was empty on Monday as well as Epcot of Friday.

Great idea, I wasn't thinking of that. I was was wondering about the opposite night. Would folks be thinking ...why go there tonight ,we'll go go tomorrow when it's a EMN??? I think I'm going to re-plan my strategy too.

Suzanne74, thanks for the hint. I started re-working my plans this morning after reading so many negative posts last night about EMH nights so your advice will really help me. Now I just have to figure out how to squeeze in BB, TL and DQ. We love ALL the parks including the waterparks and can hardly wait to get there! :Pinkbounc

I didn't notice change of crowds at Epcot. The day time seems less crowded.

AK was crowded during the day but EMh was completely empty so to me it doesn't make sense that i was crowded because of EMH.

That is an interesting idea about going early to a emh park the day after... we will be there 9/28 to 10/05 and we were planning a day at Epcot for 9/29 but that day is emh in the pm and I wonder if it will be too crowded. The food and wine festival starts on 9/30 so I was figuring that people would pack Epcot for that reason...? Any opinions? :confused3

Thanks

This strategy worked for us at MK on our last trip in May/June. Not sure about the other parks but I am going to try it on our next trip for sure.
