Has anybody done this? I see that several have avoided due to crowds, but are the crowds any worse than during the day? The reason I am contemplating going to MK EMH at night is we have a young one with us and I figure we could stay in the park a while in the evening when it is cooler.

We did it in February and thought the crowds were very manageable. We're heading down again next week and I'm not so sure about the summertime crowds. We're going to give the EMHs a try everywhere. I'm traveling with a reasonable 10yo DD though who will be fine if we say "let's go back to the hotel and swim." Not sure how old your child is, but if you get a good rest time in the afternoon, I'd certainly try MK EMH.

I'm also interested to hear about recent experiences.

We did Evening EMH in bot April and June. Both times the crowds were managable, but you still must plan for the evening. The crowds got lighter and the night wore on. Fast passes sell out VERY quickly, so many wait in line up to 1/2 hour to get a FP for Space Mountain, yet other rides we could walk on with little wait (Thunder, Splash, etc). We went to one MK EMH and a heavy afternoon and evening rain drove the crowds away! We had a 15 min or less wait for space mountain and every other ride was walk right on!

I just did it on july 9th and its FANTASTIC. no wait was posted over 25mins and even when it was you got thru in about 15. they also have fast passes available for main attractions such as the mountains. If u have a young one you'll be please to know that 45mins into EMH characters meet in front of the castle for photos and autographs. it's a must do. i recommend doin the parks in the am then hitting the pool or hotels for a nap and heading back out around dinner time. the lil rest will keep u going til 2am!

We did EMH in the MK mid-June from 11pm to 2am. We lasted to about 1am. The only crazy time was the transition time from about 10:30 to 11:30. After that the crowds were very manageable. It seemed as if there was always a line for SM, but we did everything else we wanted to without much of a wait at all.

We did evening and morning EMH the week of Jun 27th. We found the first hour was a mad-house in the evenings, so when they did the second evening EMH that week, we didn't go to the park until 11pm and it was walk on to everything except Space Mountain.

We also found the morning after evening EMH at MK was a lot less crowded.

I am so glad to hear that the EMH Morning and Evening are working out. I am going AUg. 20-29 and was very worried about them. Now I feel much better. :Pinkbounc

I actually was curious how long it took to get the wristbands? :confused3

Thanks. Sounds like it is manageable. Our last two trips I planned like mad, but have completely slacked so far on this one.

Any other experiences/warnings with EMH?

I did MK EMH late the same night 7/9. It was FANTASTIC!!!!!

I had the same experience as wdarling. I absolutely reccommend MK EMH late to everyone. We relaxed by the pool all day, took a nap, and got to the MK at 5:00 for dinner at LTT. WE stayed until 1:30 and DID NOT wait more than 25 min. for any ride. WE did ALL of Frontierland, Adventureland (including Spash Mt & Big Thunder), part of Fantasyland (Winnie the Pooh, Philarmagic, & Peter Pan) and then ended the night with Space Mountain. WE HAD A BLAST!!!!!

I have 2 dd's a 5 yo and 16 mo. My DH took the baby back to the POLY at around 10:30 and my 5 yo, my sister and her 8 yo ds stayed until 1:30!!!!!!

I am so glad that I followed my instict and did the EMH. I was worried by all the poeple saying to stay away, but I figured it was my last night of an 8 night trip and I was going to give it everything I had and it was well worth it. My 5 yo was crying because she didn't want to leave that night, she could have kept going all night. I guess you could call it, MAGICAL!!!!

We had done this in May and we had no problem getting on anything. We ended up leaving about 1/2 way thru it, since we had already been on everything that was open.

We were there July 9 and 11th for MK evening EMH's. They were the best nights of our entire trip! We walked right on to every ride in Fantasy Land and only waited 5-10 minutes for the "big" rides. Several times we were allowed to stay on the ride for a second time because there was no one waiting.
