Here's the deal:
DH, DD, MIL, FIL and I will be staying on property Sunday thru Friday at POR. My mother and father will be visiting family in Orlando the weekend before we arrive and will be joining us for ONE DAY in MK. We will be taking advantage of evening EMH on this day. My parents will be using comp'd tickets they received from WDW after a particularly awful experience at last year's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. They will NOT be staying on property with us this night.

Is there a way for me to add them to our reservation for one night only without adding any costs to our DDP or room fee so that they can get MBs, make FPP reservations, and most of all- take advantage of EMH with us? I'll be booking everything for everyone. Please help!

There is no way because 2 additional adults would put you over the max in your room because you appear to already be at max capacity unless you have multiple rooms at POR.

If that is the case I believe you'd end up paying 40 dollars to add the 2 adults for 1 night (20 each) and would do that after check in. They would get no dinning plan or tickets for that one night just a MB with access to the room (and that you could link to their MDE).

Sorry, I should clarify- we have 2 rooms booked. One room for DH, DD and me- the other for the in-laws.

I realized that was probably the case so edited while you were replying haha. If you are in a room that has a max occupancy of 5 you could add them for 1 night at the hotel for I believe 40 dollars. If your in-laws have a room that is max occupancy 4 then you could try adding to them if need be. Again just a small fee.

That's awesome! Thanks for the help, I'll gladly pay $40 for them to be able to get access to everything. Totally worth it, IMO.

If you are on certain types of packages you may have to have everyone in the room on the package for all days including dining plan. I'd tell you to call and ask but phone CMs give notoriously bad info all the time.

For FPP reservations are their comp tickets on their MDE account? If so you will be able to make their FP at 60 days as long as your parents are in your friends and family. They won't be able to change anything but people staying on property can also include any of their friends and family in their 60 day reservations as long as they have valid ticket media.

If done at the hotel that is not true. Once you check into your hotel each part because its own thing and the hotel can add people to the resort reservation at that point with out requiring tickets or dinning plan just like at that point you can upgrade 1 ticket but not all of them. This can only be done in person at the hotel though.

What about FP? Don't they need to have an onsite reservation in advance to get 60 day privileges?

They do not have to be onsite as long as they are linked as a friend/family to someone who is. The person who is onsite can then include anyone and everyone with tickets in their friends/family in bookings. I often do this with CM friends when I go down.

Well there ya go! Learn something new every day!

I was going to ask similar question. So, as long as they are linked you can add them to dining and fp? Also, if linked are they able to attend extra magic hours?

No linking is needed to make an ADR.

They must be staying on site in order to attend EMH.

The Booking Windows post in the FP FAQ does mention this--last bullet under "Onsite Guests". :goodvibes

Lots of good info above ... simply...

- FP+ Can be made at 60 days for non-resort guests as long as they are on your MDE or linked with their MDE

- Linked does not give them any perks, like EMH, they will have to be booked into room

- Guests may be added by the night with an extra adult fee but not until you get to the hotel

- ADRs do not need hotel reservations at all so that is a non-issue
