Hi everyone~ with the new 180 day ADR policy and the posting of hours/EMH 6 months out, do you think that WDW will try to at least keep the EMH days the same as what they're posting on their website as not to cause people to keep changing their ADR's??

If you're travelling at a busy time of year, I wouldn't rely on EMH posting 180 days out. We were just there in August and the EMH's changed three times between when I started planning(about 6 months before) and when we actually went. I did change a few ADR's(more than once) and was disappointed that Disney could not manage to get the hours straight from the beginning. If there is something that is really important to you, I wouldn't base anything on what EMH are posted before the 45 day mark.

I agree! I've been visiting the world before and Park hors changed form when we left to when we got there. True we have a 2 day drive, but whoa!!!! Don't worry about the ADR's. Once made don't cancel until right before your trip, it will save more phone calls than anything else, then right before you go , make one call and cancel what you don't want or won't use!

I think they will change them too. While I love having the hours earlier. I think for the us "planners" it might cause even more havoc then having to wait for them. I think they are bound to switch is up quite a bit.

It would not surprise me if there are change in EMH or hours before we go in March. However, the encourging thing is that the hours are not conservative. So they are less likely to add hours or showings as they are already open late (MK is open until 11 several nights) and there are double showings of Fantasmic and Spectro on several nights. And while they can shorten hours or remove showings, I don't think that they will unless there is a drastic downturn - i.e. a 9-11 type event.

Personally, I think someone new was put in charge of hours and is going at things in a whole new way. Instead of the cautious "I won't promise anything until you show me hard reservations for that date" approach that results in frequent changes as new, hard data is available, I think they are taking the "we've done this for years, we know what the crowds will be, so plan on it now" approach. So I think there will less changes, but there will still probably be some changes when they guess wrong.
