Last year during Easter week we had reservations at Emeril's on Citiwalk. Since RP opened I see they have an Emeril's there. Is this an additional restaurant, is there still one at Citiwalk? If so, is one bigger or better than the other?:)

I havent been to the new one yet, Tchoup Chop but here is a menu you can look at.
The Other Orlando

The food is different from the City Walk location. They are both open. You can also get more info from www.emerils.com
I cant comment on one being better than the other till after March but Tchoup Chop has been getting some nice reviews.
Have Fun:)

We have been to both Emeril's and Tchoup Choup....both are very nice.

Tchoup Choup is a beautiful restaurant....great service, prices are lower than at Emeril's on City Walk (yes, it is still there and yes...they are very different). The food has pacific rim flare with Emeril's touch. Delicious. We have tried lunch and dinner.

Make a reservation...especially if you want to have dinner...they are very busy at night.

Does Tchoup Choup have a kid's menu or? We will be staying at the RPH and I would like to make ressies but we'll have to bring the kids (ages 8 and 5). Would there be anything they would like - they are big on mac & cheese and the usual kid fare!

Thanks!

Nicole,

As you'll be staying at RPR, why don't you consider having your
kids stay at the RP kids' club (I can't remember the name of the
club at RPR). My kids have stayed at the kids' club at HRH. It's
called Lil' Rocks and they had an absolute BLAST. They beg
my DH and I to go out to dinner by ourselves so they can go to
the kids' club! The kids can have dinner sent in, kid friendly
stuff like chicken fingers and PB&J. If you can spring for it, it'd
be a great way for you both to have a nice romantic dinner at
Tchoup Chop without having to worry about what the kids are
eating (or how they're behaving!)

By the way, the kids' club is practically next door to Tchoup Chop.

Have fun!

Lisa,

Thanks for the suggestion! My DH is a bit apprehensive about leaving our kids with anyone, but I'll try to work with him on it. I'm sure it's perfectly safe. Do you have any idea how much the kid's club costs and if I should reserve a spot for them early?

Thanks again!

Nicole,

I'm ashamed to say that I don't remember how much Lil Rock's
cost (but whatever it was it was worth it for a nice dinner for 2
at Emeril's City Walk!). We never had any problem getting space
for the kids and this was right around Fourth of July so you know
the hotel was packed. You could certainly call in advance for a
reservation, though just to be sure.

I understand the apprehension on your DH's part; but as an
example, my kids have NEVERstayed with anyone other
than my mother and yet I felt confident having them at Lil' Rocks.
It's more like day camp than a babysitter with counselors and lots
of things for the kids to do. And as I mentioned, at RPH, the
Kids Club is just a few doors down from Tchoup Choup so if DH
was concerned, he could pop in on them between courses.
(We stayed at RPR last summer before the restaurant opened
but I know where it was to be located.)

By the way, I called Tchoup Choup last night to make a ressie
for us for lunch next week (Yay!!) and I asked them if they had
a kids' menu. I was told that they should have one in place by
next week. (We'll have our kids with us at lunch.) On the other
hand, I looked at the menu online, and found that they have a
shrimp toast appetizer, which my 9 year old just loves. My
mouth is watering thinking of what Emeril's staff can do with
something as basic as shrimp toast! I can't wait to go.

Hope this helps with your decision.

Lisa,

Thanks again! I think that my hubby might be ready for a break from the kids by the time we're staying at RPH (we're going to be at HIFS for 4 days 1st) so I might not have such a hard time talking him into the Kid's Club. ;) And if they check it out and it looks fun, they'll be able to persuade him!

I did check out the menu for Tchoup Choup and I saw that they have some noodle bowls and stuff like they from "the wok" that I think my kids would enjoy if they end up going (and if the kid's menu isn't in place yet). Either way, I'm sure we'll be going!

Thanks again and enjoy yourself next week!
(i'm so jealous!)

:p
