Mine was sent today via DHL. (I stood in line at the Post Office for 20 minutes and the line never moved. If I didn't choose another carrier, someone here in town would have needed those emergency items!!! )

I also received my package from AlexWyattMommy!!
In it was:
~A plethora of band-aids
~Purell
~An emergency blanket
~Glow sticks (great idea!!!)
~Instant cold pack
~Toothbrush and toothpaste
~A CARS Uno Game (Which my 4-year-old promptly absconded with!!)
~Canned Vienna Sausages and Chef Boyardee Lasagna
~Mini Slim Jims
~The coolest emergency flashlight I have ever seen! It doesn't need batteries! You just crank it for a minute, and it gives 90 minutes of light. You can also use it to charge your cell phone!!
~Pocket Army Knife
and
~A stain stick...not necessarily for emergencies of the weather variety, but necessary for clothing "emergencies"!

I received my package today from macrosswife. Thanks for a great package!!

Here's what I got:
(1) 4pack Nature Valley Oats 'n Honey granola bars
(1) 2pack Sweet & Salty Granola Bars
1 package chocolate chip cookies (I may have an "emergency" need for these soon )
Also in a white zipper bag:
package wet ones
small travel first aid kit
Tylenol rapid release gels
A nice flashlight
a set of Tinkerbell playing cards
A bunch of index cards and a photo album - this is to write important names and numbers, keep photos as a home inventory or to write lists of items to "pull" in case of an evacuation. This is a great idea!!! I'm going to share this idea with my friends.

I'm so glad it got there quickly!! (Goodness knows I'd probably STILL be standing in line at the post office!! )
I'm glad there were a few things in there you could use!! If my brain had been working, it would have clicked that I was sending it to you!! The bag was supposed to be a "starter" grab-and-go kit, but since you already have one, feel free to find another use for it! (Maybe that can be your grab-and-go bag for your car??)

Oh, I'm sad I missed this one. Our family is in the process of packing up 72 hour kits and this exchange would have been perfect. Please let me know if you ever do this again. I would be more than willing to participate.

I forget that the exchanges have their own board now and never come on to check.
