Emerald Reserve.... Car Types available at MCO?

I've used EA before, and Emerald Reserve only once. We leave tomorrow morning and arrive at MCO at 2:00 pm. I reserved a Full Size through Emerald Reserve (an SUV or a minivan was WAYY tooo expensive!) with the hope that an SUV or a minivan *might* be on the lot when I go to pick up my rental.

Has anyone had any experience in using Emerald Reserve at MCO? If so, what was the availability of different types of vehicles with that service vs. EA?

Thanks so much for your feedback.......

16 hours and counting!!!

I had a full size Emerald Reserve reservation on Saturday 5/7. There were about 4 or 5 cars in the full size row, 2 or 3 Impalas, a Century. I took a red Impala with about 1,500 miles. I don't think they park vans or SUV's on the full size row. When I was there in March with a full size ER res, all that was on full size was a Chrysler convertible. We had 4 people so that wasn't going to work. They asked if we were Emerald Club, we said yes, so they let us take an Aztec off the EA.

We reserved a full size the first week in May. There were only a few cars and they were all impalas. Nice roomy trunk! :flower:

There would never be an SUV or minivan on the Full size aisle. They'd be in their own aisle. The full size aisle will only have Full sizes on it.

I am renting a Premium 2/4 door because we need seating for 6. Is that in the regular full size aisle?

Premium has it's own aisle.

Here are the aisles:

Subcompact
Compact
Intermediate (for Quick Rent folks)
Emerald Aisle (for Emerald Aisle reservations)
Fullsize
Premium
Luxury
Sports Utility
Mini-van
Convertible
Executive Aisle

Thanks for the quick reply! :flower: Do you know what types of cars are on the premium aisle?

Not really since I've never rented a premium car before but their website says Pontiac Bonneville or similar.

I'm not even sure what they look like, lol, I'm not much of a car person. The premium was the least expensive option that seats six. Maybe I'll Google the Bonneville...

Can you get a premium or suv and bypass the counter?

As long as you reserve your car with your Emerald Club membership and you don't have an upgrade coupon or need a car seat, then yes, you bypass the counter and head straight to the aisle of the car you reserved.

Your reservation would say "Emerald Reserve", unless you booked an intermediate, then it will say "Emerald Aisle".

Even those who are not members of the Emerald Club can bypass the counter with "Quick Rent" BUT they cannot use any coupons at all; if they do, then they cannot bypass the counter; Emerald Club members can and still bypass the counter.

The Impala we had last week had seatbelts for 6. The front seat was a bench seat and there was a middle seatbelt.
