Emerald Aisle or Alamo?

I have ressies thought National and Alamo. I am debating on which one to use. National is about $40 more expensive than Alamo for the same size car, but with National I can use EA. I arrive on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Do you think Alamo's lines will be long if I do decide to use them?

In this case sounds like Alamo, but your National reservation might go down.

depends on how much you like (or hate) to wait in lines. i used alamo in feb---arrived at noon on a weds and there was at least a 1 -2 hr wait. luckily i had quicksilver and was the only one in that line so i was waited on immediately

Maps...HOLY COW, a 1-2 hour wait?!?!?!?

I have been checking National daily to see if my rate will drop and no luck, they are higher than what I have already If Alamo has long lines, I might just pay the higher rate to make things easier.

Mego, when are you going? If you're going at an off-peak time, I'm not sure that you really need to worry about lines.

I used EA on 8/11. That is a Wednesday and we arrived at 11am.... after getting baggage, we walked past the car rental desks on the way to the EA at around 11:30 which is your arrival time. Alamo had at least 30 people in line. We walked right past that area, out to the cars, grabbed a nice Impala LS with leather, moonroof, loaded, and we were out of there... I personally would go with the EA, unless money is a total issue...

Well, after what Map and Duds had to say about Alamo's lines, I am sticking with my National ressie. It is not worth it to me to stand in line forever for a $40 difference. Thanks for all the ino. everyone.
