Embossing "Erasing"

I am new to embossing so forgive me if this is common knowledge, but did you know that you can "erase" your embossing by passing it through the embossing machine without the folder? Such a cool discovery, I really did not want to have to re-cut a piece that just did not look right with texture on it.

I never thought of that! I messed up something last week and was annoyed at myself because I didn't have anything else in that color. Thanks for sharing your discovery!
