OMG. Will this never end?
Here is what Rosie said
O’DONNELL: …… I just want to say something. 655,000 Iraqi civilians are dead. Who are the terrorists?HASSELBECK: Who are the terrorists?
O’DONNELL: 655,000 Iraqis — I’m saying you have to look, we invaded –
HASSELBECK: Wait, who are you calling terrorists now? Americans?
O’DONNELL: I’m saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?
I dont' believe that she thinks our troops are terrorists, however, she sure as heck implies it in that quote. So, how did Fox spin it? They used the words directly out of Rosie's mouth.
Maybe she should be a bit more clear with what she is saying so that she doesn't have to worry about people taking it the way she did not intend it. Maybe she should be the one to explain what SHE meant instead of expecting other people to do it for her. She made the mess, she should clean it up.
Honestly, this thread disgusts me. What is it about this situation that causes people to be so hateful? You've got one person thinking that calling someone a "Fat, blow hole" is an appropriate and classy thing to do do. You've got another person using lines like " towering over her with saliva dripping from her fangs"
Half of the people in this thread are just as rude, bullying and as obnoxious as they claim either RO or EH are. What makes that okay? There's a little phrase about glass houses that seems appropriate.
Right, she is saying that from the Iraqi perspective that we (Americans) would be called terrorists. Link that together with her first line where she is saying "Who are the terrorists". What is she implying now?Only if you parse her quote. The last part of her quote makes it damn clear she's saying that from the Iraqi perspective we'd be the ones considered terrorists.
I agree, the name calling on both sides is immature and sad.Honestly, this thread disgusts me. What is it about this situation that causes people to be so hateful? Neither one of these women is the devil or a saint.
Funny how you only mention the comments made about Rosie... no never mind not funny... DOUBLE STANDARD
it's a shame though, that Rosie can't simply state her views and be done with it. She has to scream over everyone else, not letting them get a word in edgewise and keep it up over and over again.

The thing of it is, it wasn't just FoxNews that "spun" this thing. Chris Matthew's Hardball on MSNBC had a whole segment on this and all three panelists AND Matthews himself agreed that she was implying that the troops are terrorists.
Those who throw out that FoxNews spun this is BS, IMO. (For the record, I realize that what I quote above doesn't disagree with this statement, but I was just using it to further reiterate my point)
repeat.. "if you were in Iraq who are the terrorists?" Think March 2003..shock and awe..terrorism? She has stated over and over she believes this administration are the terrorists, not the troops following ORDERS. You can disagree Bush is or isn't a terrorist (war criminal) but she never said the troops were terrorists..Watch the video from Monday of that week, please.
