I am know real fan of Elizabeth but I really can't stand Rosie. I used to like her but she has really gone off the deep end. She is nuts! The problem with Rosie is she is so full of hate. I personally think she hates Bush over the whole gay marriage issue. Rosie needs to go. I only wish there was a stronger Republican to take her on. I bet she would loose. Elizabeth is to weak. Rosie knows it. She had know business being put on the View. Strong therapy is needed for her. I feel sorry for her kids. Rosie needs help! Joy thinks the whole thing is a joke. I think there are some serious problems with Rosie. Maybe as a going away gift they could get her a good therapist?

Rosie has a Therapist already. She mentions it often..
I don't know, I think she just calls a spade a spade. I have been to 2 tapings of The View. It was DULL DULL DULL before Rosie came to town! I do not always agree with her, but I can't help but like her Oh and though she got lost in the shuffle, Joy was equally as adament as Rosie was in this instance.

did anybody else feel elisabeth turned the whole conversation around to "poor pitiful me - Rosie just called ME a COWARD" Where I heard Rosie say (right or wrong) that Rosies feelings were hurt and Elisabeth didnt defend rosie, or point out that Rosie didn NOT think the US Troops were terrorists (that drives me nuts too - they twist Rosies words, I dont agree with Rosie, but how many times does she say "I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS")

so all Elisabeth heard Rosie say "coward" and she totally turns the conversation to "WHAT - you call me a coward, how dare you those are fighting words, YOU are a COWARD ROSIE for not standing up for your own self..."

I thought, wait, stop... how did that happen???

I like that there are points of view - but JOY wanted to discuss a valid point, and suddenly, its all about Elisabeth - give me a break... and then on FOX NEWS they were all saying Elisabeth was too young to give the opposite view, well no I dont see that... its all just gone haywire!!

I never watch the show personally. But I follow the drama. And of course it was on the news this evening when I got home. I seen some of it on Hannity & Colmes. I think Rosie was being her regular rude self. And I'm happy Elisabeth stood up to her. She did answer Rosie's question. But why should she have to defend what Rosie meant. Only Rosie really knows what she herself meant. To me it sounds as if she was implying that our troops were terrorists. Which doesn't surprise me. Good riddance to her. Maybe Rosie can get Hugo Chavez to finance her next Broadway show or something?

I agree. I don't even think Rosie wanted to even really get into it. But Elizabeth was finger pointing and yap yap yapping in a shrill high voice that I couldn't even understand what she was saying.

I read over at TWoP that the "Loose Change" 9/11 conspiracy folks were booked on the View for tomorrow but as of this afternoon they were canceled(thankfully!) and now Rosie has the day off for Kelly's B-day. Considering Rosie's been pushing hard for that show for awhile I think it's a possible sign she won't be returning.

No. I don't. I think Rosie resorted to calling names and Elizabeth called her out on it. What point was Rosie trying to make in calling her a coward, or indicating she was actling like a coward? What did it have to do with the original topic?

I don't blame Elizabeth for her reaction. I'd be the same, except I wouldn't have been as restrained.

Rosie has been putting her down over one thing or another for a long time. Elizabeth has been letting her. Until now.

I have been watching the View off and on ever since it came on. It was NEVER the complete political debate it has been since Rosie came on. The show has completely changed its focus. I really liked Meredith Viera but, lordy, I did not realize how much until the past year. All of the women were so much more respectful and it was a whole different tone and focus.
