Hi! We will be staying at the WL on September 17-21. Is the water parade visible from the WL? What time does it start? ANy best places to see it?

Thanks a bunch!

Yes it is definitely visable from the WL. We watched it from our balcony on our trip in 2005. You can see it best from the beach area. It goes by at 9:35 pm. It can run a little later if the MK Fireworks are scheduled for 9 but it isn't too delayed. If you have your eye out you can watch the barges float in and get into position before they light them up.

Thanks for your reply! I am trying to schedule a ADR at Whispering Canyon with time to see the Water Pageant after dinner.

How do I find the fireworks schedule?

We have ps at Chef Mickey's for 7:50 pm. I know MK closes that night at 9 pm, so we figure we can go up on the observation deck to see the fireworks. We've never seen the Electric Water Parade, except for a few glimpses while riding the monorail. I assume the EWP is after the fireworks, is there a good viewing area from CR?

Can I butt in here alittle...I can see this and the fireworks from GF too, right?

TIA & sorry for hi-jacking the post.

Yes. It is visible from GF, Poly, CR, WL and Fort Wilderness. The times are as follows: Due to tradition it starts at the Poly at 9 pm; GF at 9:15; WL at 9:35; FW at 9:45; CR at 10:05. If MK fireworks are at 9 it runs a few minutes late as I said before. All of these locations it is best seen from the beach area unless you have a room overlooking the beach then it is nice from the balconies or windows as well.

This link will tell you upcoming park hours and fireworks times for several months and is updated when the next month in the series is released; http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours.htm

We are also going to be attending the Hoop Dee Doo on Wednesday 9/21 for the 7:15 show. It is suppose to be over around 9 or 9:15 p.m so would we be able to watch the EWP after the Hoop Dee Doo and if so what location should we watch it from? Magic Kingdom closes at 9:00 that night and wishes is scheduled for 8:00 so how will all of this go into play that night. Wishes at 8:00 (which we know we wont be watching due to Hoop Dee Doo) ant then the EWP at 9:45? Then if MK closes at 9:00 p.m. how do we get back to our resort which is the CSR? I would love to see this but don't want to get stranded at WL. Any help would be appreciated!! :yay:

You may have time to take the boat launch over to the WL to catch their show since it will run a few minutes late that night due to the 9 pm closing. From there you can take a bus to DTD and transfer to a CSR bus or take a bus to TTC if it is still running at that time & you can catch that one and transfer to a bus to CSR.

Will the buses be running from WL to DTD after watching the EWP at WL. Then I catch another bus from DTD to CSR is that correct? Please tell me what the EWP is all about. I have heard great things about it but is it worth all the trouble just trying to squeeze it in? I will be traveling with my DD, DM & DMIL.

The buses should be running to TTC after MK closes. The direct bus that serves WL from MK reverts to a TTC bus a little while after park closing. The DTD bus will be running for sure at that time if the TTC isn't for some reason.

As far as if it is worth it. If you are right there and can squeze it in you might as well. I love the EWP and have watched it many times. I don't know if I would come all the way from an Epcot resort or the values just to see it but if you are there anyway it is worth the time to catch it. That is just my opinion though, there are some people on the DIS who don't find the EWP that great. :confused3 Guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

We watched it from our WL balcony last time, and while it's a decent little show, I wouldn't go out of my way much to see it. Just my 2 cents...
