El Pirata Y el Perico Is Opening Soon!!!

I just read on another website that El Pirata Y el Perico in the Magic Kingdom is opening for the summer season on May 20th. This is my all-time favorite fast food restaurant in all of Disney World so I just had to share!!! In just 20 short days I'll get to dine there and I'm thrilled beyond belief!!!

Why has it been closed? Is it a seasonal restaurant?

Yes, it's open seasonally. Sometimes I think it is extremely seasonal because it's been very difficult for us to catch it open!!!

I was so excited when it was open during our Feb. trip. I love eating there, and it has been closed every time we have visited over the past few years.

Does anyone have any dates for when it will be closing again? We won't be there until August.

The menu is pretty limited and as far as I know has always consisted of tacos and taco salads. Below is the menu from Deb's site. I hope this helps. Personally, I love the tacos and I can't wait until June 4 to have some!!!

I'm not certain about the closing dates but surely August is still considered summer season. I would think it would be open thru Labor Day but that's just my opinion!!!

I'm soooo jealous! We love it too, and it's never open when we go in May. I don't understand why such a big, yummy restaurant closes at all? I will never understand why it's seasonal.

I'm sorry it took me so long to answer your question Sue!!! The tacos are larger than normal size and if I'm not mistaken the one in the kids meal is the same size as those that come in the 2 taco meal. I hope this helps!!!

When we were there last x-mas we were happy to see it open...we love their taco's & churros. I'm just hoping it will be open when we go back in September.
