Going next June. Not our first time. DH and I - mid 40s, DD 13 and DS 10:

  • Ragland Road or Tiffins & ROL
  • Spice Road Table or Tokyo Dining for Illuminations (Haven't seen since 2000!)
  • Liberty Tree Tavern or The Wave for Lunch (or maybe LTT lunch AND Wave dinner)
  • 50s Prime Time or Mama Melrose (also doing Sci Fi and have done HBD multiple times)
  • Akershus breakfast or lunch
  • Captain Cooks @ the Poly or Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs on arrival night?

Can't tell you the first since Tiffins isn't open yet.
I'd choose Tokyo Dining here for the food even though it's unlikely you will get a table to view Illuminations from there(get an earlier dinner time and then stake out a place on the lagoon for Illuminations). Spice Road Table is not great food wise.
Liberty Tree Tavern
Either(if Mama Melrose is even open at that point)
Breakfast
Capt Cooks.

1. Can't comment. Haven't tried (one not open yet)
2. Spice Road was tasty!
3. LTT is a family favorite
4. 50s. Just tried and liked it! MM good too. Check the menu and see what the majority of your fan prefers
5. Eh. Not a fan of either so I'd skip
6. Depends. Where are you staying?

We're staying off site with a car and will want to visit the Poly and Disney Springs while we are there.

So, question about the EPCOT restaurants. I'm trying to limit myself to two over two days. I had Tokyo lunch one day and Spice Road Table for Illuminations on the other, but then I got rid of Spice Road Table in favor of Tokyo to accommodate Akershus. I've always wanted to dine there, we do not have a princess meal planned, and I'm thinking with the opening of the Frozen ride it would be beneficial to have an 8:05 breakfast. Food at lunch looks better though. Maybe dining there is not worth it altogether?

Definitely Tokyo Dining if you're into sushi, yum and partake in the unfiltered sake for the adults. They also have things the younger ones would like. We were there earlier on so no fireworks for us but the view would've been wonderful for Illuminations.
I haven't had Captain Cooks but I would prefer not dealing with Disney springs so Captain Cooks would be my vote, plus they have press pot coffee and theres dole whip nearby!

Ragland Road or Tiffins & ROL
We have always liked RR. Will have to wait to see what the menu is like at Tiffins.

Spice Road Table or Tokyo Dining for Illuminations (Haven't seen since 2000!
SRT is our new favorite at Epcot. Very good if you like North African/Middle east flavors. But if Sushi and sake is more your style, go with TD. You will have a better chance for a table with a view at SRT, but neither offer a full, unobstructed view.
Liberty Tree Tavern or The Wave for Lunch (or maybe LTT lunch AND Wave dinner)
LTT.

50s Prime Time or Mama Melrose
50s PTC junless you're interested in the F! Dining Package

Akershus breakfast or lunch
Breakfast if its pre opening, othewise skip it. But an early breakfast may be no help getting into the Frozen ride or M&G if they don't open until 11:00, with the rest of FW.

Captain Cooks @ the Poly or Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs on arrival night?
Neither.
