Eek! I'm nervous now!!

Saturday's Mass is for Gabrielle, so Bradley and I will be presenting the Gifts to the Father. I am so nervous! What if I drop them??? What if Bradley sneezes?!?! Holy cow (no pun intended!) !!


(For those of you who are not Catholic and have no clue what I am talking about.......Bradley and I will be carrying the consecrated host and presenting them to the priest for communion.......in other words, we'll be carrying Christ to the altar!) So, now you can see why the heck I would be as nervous as I am!!!

Kristy, you remind me of how I was in 2nd grade when I had to take the gifts up to the alter. I know it will be a tough mass for you but I know you and Bradley will do just fine. Just remember to wipe your hands of any "stickiness" before you pick them up

I'm sure Bradley will do well too. Just don't catch anyone's eye who might make you laugh. This is the problem I always have with these things - they pick someone who is on the end to carry the gifts, so I make sure I sit in the middle. I giggle uncontrollably when I get nervous, so I'm not a good candidate.

When DH and I used to attend mass on a regular basis when we still lived in PA, they would often pick parrish members to present the gifts. I used to cringe everytime they'd start looking, and yes, one time we got picked!

You'll be just fine. Gabrielle will make sure of it!

You'll do fine. But I still remember the day DS1 was selected to carry the gifts for First Friday Mass (it's a Catholic school thing). Of all the kids, he ended up with the hosts. The plate (sorry not proper term) was overflowing & being a typical 5 year old boy he wasn't holding it up straight. I could watch. I just bowed my head & prayed he'd make it to the alter. He made it & wasn't fazed a bit.
