As far as weight loss goes...
I walk 4 miles every day as part of my commute to work. It's actually four one-mile segments, two each way, with a five minute train trip in the middle. When I started, each segment took me over 20 minutes. Now when the train is late, like today, I can make it in seven minutes!!!
I drink gallons of water. I love water, and it keeps me from eating when I'm not really hungry but want something to do. I also take a nap every afternoon when I get home. How does that help with weight control? That's easy--if I don't take a nap, I eat. Things like cheese and crackers, cake, cookies, etc. If I'm napping I can't do that

! If I do snack now, it's carrots or other fresh veggies, which I love!
I also gave up stress and worry. If I can't fix it, then worrying about it and stressing over it will only add pounds and not answers. That was the hardest part of my "lifestyle change". If I can fix whatever, I'll do it. If not, I just have to let it go and deal with the consequences. All stress does is make me crazy!
