I've been busy planning my parent's 60th wedding anniversary, and the party was a blast! I got to see relatives, friends, and old neighbors I hadn't seen in years.

I checked the DCL website and IGT and 11B show up for inside cabins while 9C is the only category availabe for oceanview. I wonder if that means our cruise is filling up.

She is going to 6th of October and teaching at SABIS. I have been worried about the political situation, but I have come to terms to her decision. She has an opportunity to teach in Antigua, but decided not to go. She has a girlfriend in Egypt who has been working at the school for the past two years. It will be a definite culture shock for her. She has worked in an orphanage in Nepal for a couple months while she was in university. But this is 10 months. We have friends who has family in Cairo - a doctor and a person in immigration, so that her network of support is building. My friend's son flies for NATO, so we have been teasing that Scottie will be my daughter's saviour if the violence increases.

As long as she is aware of whats going on. Egypt is an amazing place and Im sure she will treasure the experience. For the most part the people of Egypt are very hospitable and welcoming.

Been busy this weekend!
Saturday we've been to a friends house for diner with another couple, we havent seen eachother together for 3 years! So it was very nice!
Yesterday we went to a zoo with only monckeys and apes! Some of them roam around freely en sit on your shoulder and such! It was great!!!
Today is my birthday so alot of planning around a little get together tonight!
I'll be checking in again tomorrow!

Been busy this weekend!
Saturday we've been to a friends house for diner with another couple, we havent seen eachother together for 3 years! So it was very nice!
Yesterday we went to a zoo with only monckeys and apes! Some of them roam around freely en sit on your shoulder and such! It was great!!!
Today is my birthday so alot of planning around a little get together tonight!
I'll be checking in again tomorrow!

Yesterday was still hot and cloudy besides. dh worked on the drywall in the garage. I finished the cruise portion of my spring trip scrapbook.

The 4 ports in Hawaii took one whole book. Disneyland, the cruise portion (only) and Las Vegas took another whole book.

Made some wheat free low carb almond meal cookies that were an absolute disaster. Recipe said they don't spread. Oh boy was THAT wrong. It's a good thing the cookie sheet had sides. THEN they didn't want to come off the baking paper, so I had a bowl full of crumbs.

OK. I'll make a crumb crust for a low carb pumpkin pie. Should have done the pumpkin part seperately because by the time the pudding part was set, the crust was WAY over done. NOT my best culinary day.

Cooled off, finally. We had the windows open all night.

My mom was visiting this weekend and we went to the Lancaster Outlets. The Disney Outlet had some nice shirts, water bottles, travel mugs, and cups on clearance so I picked up a few for us to use on the ship. They didn't have any DCL things though. It is a good thing we are flying southwest! My pile of things to pack is growing!

We live about 45 minutes from those outlets - one of our favorite places to shop. We have a Disney store at the outlets here in Hershey as well - I'll have to check out the sales!

Linda, I feel for you and the wheat free baking disaster! I tried to make a loaf that never fully cooked in the middle and was way overdone on the outside. I think I need different pans or something.

I found the Color-Me-Mickey there that I used for character signatures last year, so I'm hoping to find some little something I didn't know I needed. Unfortunately, we're NOT flying Southwest, so I'm beginning think about FE size and quantity...!

After a couple of very warm days, it's beautiful today (even more so because I don't have to work )...thinking of a casino day with DH.

How did you guess the $100 bills . Shucks, now I have to think of something else...(I'm keeping the diamonds for myself ). Actually, I ordered something today to make an FE gift for my mother/niece to give , so at least I have a clue . And dear Jess is making something flat and useful for our own gifts. She's also making our FE's, but she won't tell me what the theme is this year . [How many more emoticons can I add? ]

I believe the FE is still open to anyone who is interested although I'm hoping the group doesn't get too large simply due to limited space in my luggage. Perhaps we'll need to split into two groups if the group gets big. I've read of some FE's that have 18 people and others with 80!

I took my two granddaughters to the outlet here in Texas yesterday. It was the end of a 25 percent off sale. We got flip flops, nightgowns, beach cover ups, and insulated cups. We had such a great time. We leave for Disneyland soon so the girls are all Disney right now. Can't wait!

I was just going to ask how many cabins we had? We are interested. Last cruise I used a gift bag, but seeing that stocking got me thinking. How much fun it would be use a stocking, like Christmas morning

I used to bring cool Radio Disney sway, but have no connections anymore. Although I may find some tattoos laying around.

I found a really cute edible craft for this that would be so much fun!

I am hoping to next week sit down and make a graphic name badge for our trip. I have Photoshop at home.
I also plan to look for some extra plain lanyards. I did have a bunch, but I did give some to my friend who took a group on like 40 kids to Disney this past winter.
Do we have a count of first time cruisers?

Would we want individual names on the badges? Not sure how we would get them passed out. I am thinking generic only for my ease of making, but we do have plenty of time and I am only working part-time right now.

Wow, I've just spent 3 hrs reading the first 40 pgs of this thread! I'm getting more excited by the minute!!! Tomorrow I may get caught up and start planning and joining--so much to get involved with! Thanks to you all.
