We’d like to be part of the ornament exchange. Does it need to be Disney? Or can It be just any ornament?

Any ornament is fine, it does not have to be disney themed but I am sure there will be a few that will be :) I will add you to the list. How many people?

I can try to help make these as well. I know we get lanyards, but you could slip these in the back. So then you just have 1 thing around your neck. We always have ours on. I keep my key in it. Then you won't have to laminate it.

Or we have a laminator here at my office and I have a pack of the pages that I bought. I could do some to help out.

When we did Alaska with my Aunt and her friends I made everyone one and people kept asking where we got them. I should have brought extra to sell!!

Name tags to fit the (horizontal) pockets on the lanyards we are given would be great! I always wear my lanyard with key card, coffee card, photo card etc.

I find the temperatures in the dining rooms and theater are usually chilly--until they're full of people. I almost always bring a sweater or a lightweight jacket so that I can take it off as the room warms up.

Beth

Like so many others - for me, supper time is sweater time!

I lost 55 pounds in 2009-2010 and kept it off until this winter when I gained 10. Maybe that's why it's harder to come off this time. My 'sugar' numbers are great (thanks to low carbs), off most of the meds I took for years, fitter than every before, but STUCK on the scales.:sad2:

I believe the person that said something about making the lanyards was still considering booking the cruise and not yet already booked on it. From what I remember, she said she'd consider spear heading them if they did decide to book. :)

Judy (don't know her DISboard name) made lanyards for all DISboarders on our MR cruise, and you are correct in saying that when she posted on this thread, she had not yet booked the EPBC, but mentioned making lanyards on a previous cruise.

Does anyone know the special nights themes so I know what to pack? Like formal? Semi-formal? Is there a pirate night ? Doesn't matter just can't wait! But wanted to start planning....

Thanks to everyone who replied so quickly to my message about sweaters. I'll pack accordingly. I can be cold at exactly the same time that DH is too hot, so he is no help deciding these things.

I was actually cold during the day on deck during a Caribbean cruise last December. During breezy times, half the people on deck would huddle shivering under their towels, while the other half cavorted happily in their bikinis. Some people are just more susceptible to cold.

Does anyone know what the 14 day Rainforest pass sales for or has sold for? We always get the pass to take advantage of the steam rooms and heated chairs.

It would be good to have the Navigator's from a recent EBPC cruise. The ones on DIS are from 2005.

Is anyone else dieting? What are you doing to lose weight? How is it working

Right now I have it good, because I'm nursing my baby and that burns extra calories. Because I spend a lot of time dealing with both kids, I don't have time to eat as much, so I am losing weight without trying, in that sense. But, it's tapering off. My problem is I have always hated most forms of exercise and I'm not an outdoors person. This past week, I managed to do a workout DVD every day while the baby was napping and DS watched Thomas & Friends. I am hoping that cutting out a few sweets and sweet drinks and the exercise will help me lose about 10-15 lbs before the cruise. So far I am just thrilled I exercised 5 days in a row!

My name is Jamie and I am an over-packer. BUT one thing I would not leave at home is a simple wrap to use in the dining rooms and other venues. We have only done one DCL but several other lines and plenty of times I have needed something over bare arms.

I am trying SO hard to not over-pack. It's not just the luggage, it's trying to fit all of our stuff in a small room. My plan is to bring one wrap that "goes with everything". It will probably be too dressy for casual nights and not dressy enough for formal night, but, so be it.

Regarding Navigators! I have been looking through the ones from the recent 14-night Hawaii sailing. I figure since both are on the Wonder and the same cruise length, there will be similarities. I think the formula is that Formal Night is the first Sea Day.

We will most likely be joining this cruise!!!!!!!!! Can't beat the price for 14 days! DH and myself--no kids this time.

Someone was asking about the possible nights. Abbyar posted this back on page 28. I'm thinking that even if the nights aren't specifically laid out in this order since it's coming from other Navigators, it sounds about right that we'd have two formal, one semi-formal, and one pirate night.

Another thing I've seen some DIS'ers do on the longer cruises is make the Prince and Princess night into a "Grown Up Prince and Princess" night and the women (more-so than the men) will do the whole ball gown and tiara thing. Seeing as some of you might be bringing along your tiaras for the Champagne Girls meet anyway, would anyone be interested in that? Like i told a friend of mine... how many times do you get to wear a tiara in your life? :rotfl: princess:

Here's one of the posts where they did it: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=39253231&highlight=grown+up+princess+night#post39253231

I've done a little research using some old Navigators, and based on what I see, this is what I think our evening cruise schedule might be like:

Day 1 - "Let the Magic Begin" - Cruise Casual
Day 2 - Sea - "Taste of California" - Casual
Day 3 - Cabo - "Around the World" - Casual
Day 4 - Puerto Vallarta - "Golden Mickey" - Formal
Day 5 - Sea "Villains Tonight"
Day 6 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Semi-Formal
Day 7 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Casual
Day 8 - Sea - Rotational Dining Menu - Casual
Rotational Menus:
A/P - Show Dinner
Lumiere's - French Dinner
Parrot Cay - Island Dinner

Day 9 - Panama Canal - "West Meets East" - Casual
Day 10 - Cartagena - "Pirates In the Caribbean" - Pirate Dress
Day 11 - Sea - "Master Chef"- Casual
Day 12 - Sea - "Captain's Gala" - Casual
Day 13 - Costa Maya - "Prince and Princess" - Formal
Day 14 - Sea - "Til We Meet Again" - Cruise Casual

The Day 5 Sea day used to be a Port Day, so I could see this being done on Day 8 or Day 13 Instead, and then those getting switched around.
Thoughts? I think it's neat that we'd have 2 formal nights.

I would LOVE to do the Princess night! Right enough that you don't get to wear a tiara often enough!

Sounds like you had a fabulous time! An Alaskan cruise is on my bucket list!

Was Claudia from England? We had Claudia from England as our ***'t server on the Wonder in December, and she was fabulous. She told us she was being considered as a Disney princess and she certainly is that! :)

No Moby - our Claudia is from Chile. She was actually working in Palo, but we bumped into her on the very first day as she was stationed at our emergency assembly point - what a fluke! We did brunch at Palo and requested her as our server, such a treat.

We are seriously considering not packing formal wear for this cruise, just to save on packing space! But now I see from other posts that there may actually be 2 formal nights on this cruise? :scared:

I'd be in for the tiara. To be entirely honest, I don't own a ball gown-- that's sooooo not me LOL!!! I do clean up well, however, and can manage your average formal wear with a certain amount of effort. Jim will be renting a tux, he says it makes him look like James Bond, so I guess we'd be infor grown up Prince and Princess night! Ddo I have to act like a grown up?

I could wear my prom dress! I was recently dared to wear it to my friend 's wedding and I was shocked when it zipped! The only issue with it and other ball gowns it that they take up a lot of space. I have a few formal dresses that aren't so puffy so I will most likely pack them..DH will be packing his tux.

My DH is looking forward to taking his tux, too, along with the Mickey bow tie he wore for our wedding at WDW. The latter hasn't been worn since.

Thank you for the information! That was helpful! We just did a seven day on Fantasy and was curious about what themes. I would Also think there would be some Christmas stuff too. Hopefully crafts!
