Well at least part of it. The doctor reviewed my MRI this week and I do have a compressed fracture of the T12. We had discussed surgery, Kryphoplasty, to alieviate the pain and straighten the vertebra, however, I have a fragment that might possibly be pushed into the spinal cord if that is done and that would be a disaster. So, no surgery on that one. The other news was that the imaging place failed to do the lumbar screening so I had to have another MRI Friday. Laying on my back perfectly still for any length of time is painful so when I heard another MRI I almost screamed. If that MRI comes back with no fractures then i will start the alternative to surgery. Back brace, physical therapy, and pain meds. So, you will know me on the cruise....the one with the back brace, yuck!
My hope had been to join my husband on the boat, but the doctor says that could be 2-3 months. We'll see. I will do everything the physical therapist says to and hopefully expedite the healing process.

I had hoped to do a really cute craft project for my FE but I am not able to sit up right now to do it. I'm afraid by the time I can it will be too late to get them done so I hope you all are happy with what I can do. I love the FEs...it is so exciting to return to your cabin and find little gifts waiting for you.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Judy
I remember you from the MR cruise last December when you identified yourself with a colored scarf so we could receive the wonderful lanyard you made us. :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your back pain. :sad1: I'm also sorry that you have to repeat your MRI. :grouphug: I had to do that once, and I remember the frustration of doing an MRI two days in a row because the tech botched the first one.

I also had to rethink my FE because our computer died this weekend, so I lost what I was working on, and we are in the midst of an unexpected move to a new town, so I'm swamped. I made a simple FE gift this summer, but planned to do more, but looks like that may not happen. I'm just hoping to have time to get packed for the trip!

I'd love one if you are still offering! I've not been on the boards lately, so I'm just seeing this now. Thanks!
Is this for a message board?

We had requested one as well, but don't see our name on your list. If possible, we'd still love one!

Where did you get the patterns for your magnets? I had several door magnets saved on my computer to print, but it died this weekend so I lost everything.

Okay, sorry I missed you. I'll have one for you. I think I got them from millie something's photobucket.

Yes, please on the message board, and yes, please on the Christmas tree, if it is not too late. :)

In all of your excitement, who wants to volunteer their new category 9 for the stateroom crawl?

All these upgrades make me wish we kept our 11C GYT. But I will enjoy the $500 we saved by switching to the IGY rate. We will be happy with whatever we get and maybe look into an upgrade at the port. We are hoping on connecting rooms though!

I am starting to wonder if everyone except me got an upgrade from a cat 11... So many upgrades to cat 9!

So I just ordered my sister and her BF shirts to wear in Disneyland after she says yes! If you see them walking around in shirts below, make sure you stop us and say hi! My sister is going to kill me but I'm sooooo excited!

My dh had an mri while sitting upright--he said it was wonderful instead of that tube, flat on your back!

Good Morning, Happy cruisers!

That's TERRIBLE, you poor girl! Ready to start on the trip of a lifetime on your boat, and now this :( I hope they can get you oout of pain SOON.

Glad for all of you who wanted upgrades and got them! I'm in a cat 11 something and will stay there (TA put a DO NOT MOVE on it) because the bed goes across rather than lengthwise. Why does that matter? Lying lengthwise and rocking ever so gently side to side makes me dizzy whereas rocking head to toe in a crosswise bed does not! It's worth it to me to stay in Cat 11!

WVURunner, your sister is going to be over the moon!

Happy Day, all!

I can't believe I'm going to be the only Truvia (Stevia) dealer on the ship. :cool2: I went through all of the other sweeteners over the past several decades and have found this to be the best tasting for me, so far. Splenda would be my second choice.

I'm another Truvia fan! Its the only thing I will add to my coffee as its natual unlike sweeteners which can cause all sorts of problems its something I looked into after becoming a personal trainer along with tons of nutritional info and I have lost 50lb since end of Jan so its worked!

Do we have a site where all the graphics people have made for this cruise are? If not, if you made a graphic and don't mind sharing it would you email it to me please....judystouffer@gmail.com

Thank you so much.

Dollar rental car for a minivan was $150 online going from Miami to WDW one day rental using my AAA discount code.

I had the same reservation and just checked and the price has dropped to $115 total. I didn't see if there's a AAA code, but rebooked at the cheaper price.

I decided to check out the hotel price in Long Beach and it dropped, so I rebooked that one too.

We have a reservation with Dollar as well and just rebooked to save more than half!!!! :cool1:

Thanks for the tip. I really appreciate it!!

I'm currently booked with Budget and understand I will need to take a cab. How are you getting to Dollar? Do they have a shuttle?

Thanks,
Linda

Yes, they have a shuttle. It runs every 45 minutes. The website that the car has to be picked up at the Miami port location to access the shuttle.

This is all according to their website--no personal experience at the Miami port yet!

I was very taken aback (in a good way) with the dramatic decrease in rental prices from when we first booked. It's a bit of a hassle when we get to Orlando but well worth it for the substantial savings.
