EBPC December 9, 2012!!! PART 2

This brings up a question for me for those of you doing the FE exchange that have more than one cabin.

If you've listed yourself on the FE spreadsheet as two cabins (there are about 10 of you), does that mean you're giving/receiving at both cabins? Or will you just have one FE? I just want to make sure I have enough and/or don't bring oodles of extras. (Hey - I'm not taking my own gifts back home!) :)

Started With A Mouse - you're actually only on the spreadsheet once so that goes perfectly with what you've said above. :goodvibes But I just want to clarify for everyone else cause I'm kinda OCD that way. :rotfl:

We have two rooms. Each room is doing their own FE. Giving/receiving.

Two cabins, Two FE's and two seperate gifts

Chrissy--Jeff has the dining groups listed on the website(under meets), both early and late. Linda reposted the link on the first post/page. I know I am in your dining group. We are dining rotation 3, I don't know the order off hand.

We are in dining rotation 3 with you and Chrissy too. I just don't know who is at what table. I think we're with Coke_Zero because they have a teenage daughter too. That would make 8 of us. Tammy use to be with us and I think we have another couple, just don't remember who. I think it's mug318ca but I can't keep up and to many posts to go back through. :cheer2: The days are flying by. Dinner rotation is...

1. TAPTAPTAPTAPTA
2. APTAPTAPTAPTAP
3. PTAPTAPTAPTAPT - 1 formal, 1 semi at Tritons, 1 formal Anim, Pirate & Parrot

Yes, we are one family, one FE on one door. I'm on the OCD train too. :wave2:

I'm finalizing my binder of all pertinent information, but I'm unable to print all the rows of the FE tab we need to give to. I've tried to select the rows similar to Excel spreadsheet, but it's not working. Does anyone have any tips?

Thank you!

How am I doing on "half the clothes and twice the money"?
Any input on my packing is appreciated! Note, I will be doing laundry.

My plan is to pack the following for each member of the family:
  • 3 or 4 daytime outfits for warm weather
  • 1 pair sandals and sunhats
  • 3 or 4 "casual" dinner outfits
  • 3 outfits for the formal and semi-formal nights (inc. shoes, accessories)
  • 2 swimsuits (one to wear, one to dry)
  • 2 pairs PJs
  • socks, undies, etc.
  • Workout clothes and shoes for DH and myself

Then, for cash tips, I have $1s and $5s to get us through things like airport parking shuttle, curbside check-in, and anyone else who handles the luggage throughout the trip. We are supposed to give a few $ in cash to room service on the ship, right? And I have a larger tip for the guide and driver in Costa Maya. Did I forget anyone who needs a cash tip?

For the ruins tour in Costa Maya, do we need hiking boots or anything special? Or will summer clothes and sturdy Ecco sandals suffice?

Hey...I will host a book exchange bag outside my stateroom. I will have one for childrens books and magazines and one for adults. Super easy...people can bring an extra book and drop it in the bag...anyone can take a book. End of the cruise, I will donate any books in the bags to the crews library and the kids clubs. The bags will have a sign on them and will be available 24/7

Ships library (so to speak) has really limited hours. I found myself unable to sleep on our last cruise and was able to find something to read in the disboard book bag....thought it was a neat idea...and I didnt have to repack books I had finished!:thumbsup2

Click on "File", go down to "Download As" and select pdf (assuming you have acrobat reader). Worked fine for me. You can also download as Excel file, word file, etc.

I put a link to an "ultimate" cruise packing list on the "Links" tab on the web site. The Mayan ruins we've done, tennis shoes or sturdy sandals would be fine.

We will happily participate - I have K - 3rd grade books to bring. Also, my Luanne Rice books will start appearing around day 3 of the cruise...

We usually sleep in till 10ish, so it works out to eat a late breakfast, grab a snack later and then do dinner late. He said he is sad we are always so full on Pirate night. I said we should just skip dinner that night. Plus it seems like the party is happening at early dining. O well. Maybe next time.

Plus I am getting sick. I hope it hit quickly and is gone by the time we leave. After Thanksgiving lunch DHs nephew said they had all been sick the last week. Their little girl ended up with a fever about 1 hour after we ate and had to leave. The boy was also still sick. I do not want to be sick on our trip.

This is our first time doing late dining...should be interesting (I'm really hoping I made the right decision!)

DH and I are just getting over colds, which have lingered . I'm hoping that means we'll be healthy for this trip, since I have a real knack for catching whatever plague is going around the ship. Last year, I thought I'd end up in the ER in Orlando after the WBTA. We got off the ship, checked into our hotel there, and did the Studios. I woke up in the middle of the night with a blazing sore throat which was so swollen, I was actually scared. I had to take (probably too many) tiny low-dose aspirin one at a time until the swelling went down and I could swallow an antibiotic (which my dr. had thankfully provided before the trip, just in case). Even after I started feeling better and realized it wasn't "my time", I couldn't sleep....might have been because there was a giant cockroach in the room , which I couldn't kill and then couldn't locate. No way the light was being turned off!!! Poor DH! I wasn't about to ruin anyone else's good time, so I sucked it up and did the MK the next day. Thank goodness for (legal) drugs! My poor mother ended up with the same thing a few days later.

Two cabins, two separate FEs, both giving/receiving gifts. That's why I separate them under two Disnames (JessicasMom and PinkPug), to make it more clear :).

Looks good so far. I always bring way too much.

Good thing you said 3 formal outfits. I didn't see there were 3. I have 2 planned. I usually bring sun dresses with wraps for dinner. I also have like 8 Tank tops laid out. I should go put stuff away. 2 weeks just scares me, but we plan to do laundry.

Still looking for volunteers for S/Cat. 2, T/Cat. 3, Cat. 4 and Cat. 7. ::yes::

I realize that you already have a 6A (Navigator's Verandah) covered, but would like to offer my HA 6A for viewing if anyone would be curious. :)
