Ok, clearly my brain is in the off position today because not only could I not figure this out but I also couldn't find the answer in a search and I know I have seen this kind of topic on here but hopefully someone will take pity and help me out.

I only want to do the EBCI on our way home so that I don't have to worry about check in while at the parks. So I went on to Southwest's site all set to buy our tickets but the only thing I saw for EBCI was a yes or no section so when I select yes it adds it for both DH and I and for both segments of the trip.

So do I just need to book as 2 one ways to get EBCI for only the return flight or am I totally missing something.

Thanks to anyone who is willing to set me straight. :hippie:

Hmmmm, I'm not sure. I can't remember exactly how it worked when I booked our EBCI. I 'think' we bought it after the flights were reserved...went back in and paid for EBCI, but I just can't be 100% sure.

That might be how I have to do it then. I did look through the EBCI FAQ's and it did say you could do it for just one person but didn't say how or if you could do it for just one half of the trip.

How much does it charge you if you try to do it after you get there?

EBCI is $10, pp, per leg..doesn't matter when it's purchased. The biggest reason for booking EBCI asap, is that people are booked, at that 36 hr window, in order of bookings.

how bad is it if we don't buy it? isn't it likely that we'll get some seats near each other at the 24 hour mark? haven't flown southwest for years,so very curious...

Good to know! Haven't flown Southwest since 2007, so this EBCI thing is ALL new to me. I purchased the moment those fares came out yesterday. Thanks for the heads up! :)

I booked a flight without the EBCI. You can add the EBCI later. It will ask for which legs you want and for what tickets seperately. I haven't went ahead and bought the EBCI yet but that were the options that I was given. I hope that helps. It is $10 each way for each person. So for two people it would be a total of $40. But you didn't have to choose all. You could just choose one ticket for either direction. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks! I went ahead and just booked one way flights and just added it to the return trip because I wanted to get the flights booked just in case the nonstops got sold out or the prices went up.

Thanks for all the help.
