Ebay question??

I sold some tickets on ebay, the winning bidder contacted me to see if I would meet her to deliver ( was concert tickets), so I agreed we sat up a time for her to stop by where I work..well she never shows up never calls nothing. The next day I sent her an email asking if she still wanted them, her response was oh yeah , but her son had gotten sick, completely understandable even though she knew where I worked and could have called.

So she gives me her phone number and says call lets try again...after leaving messages for 3 DAYS and no response I give up and just say forget it. Well today I decided I would relist the tickets since the concert is coming up next week. so while on ebay I left her negative feedback saying basically she didn' pay and wouldn't answer or return calls..........all this was today by the way......well I get online a few minutes ago to check my auction and notice that i'm not 100% anymore. So she didn't have time to call but did have time to leave me negative feedback and saying that she gave me her # and she was out of town for a funeral. Would you have left the negative feedback or waited longer it has been over a week since the auction ended...

I was running out of time to relist but I thinks its funny she has time to get online and check her feedback but not to call and say lets meet i've been out of town.

What do ya think??

I think i'm a little:mad: to lose my 100%

Always, always before leaving negative feedback, I follow ebay's policy for non-paying bidders:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/bidders_overview.html

You also realize that if the first bidder doesn't buy, you can make a second chance offer to the next highest bidder. That way you don't have to relist.

You also have the right to make a comment about her negative feedback to you - there is a place to reply. When people read the negative feedback, they will also see your comment - i.e. - "Bidder was to pick up tickets twice, but never showed and never called."

I am very careful to leave negative feedback for this reason. I usually wait a week for my anger to subside and then decide if the negative is worth taking the chance of getting a negative back.

This is why people never like to deliver personally I guess....
A lot easier to mail stuff...
Sorry you had a bad experience...:(

The next highest bidder had won another auction that was my reasoning for not contacting him, hers was only 5 dollars higher than his and he paid with paypal that day. So I did look at going that route ...oh well i guess i will live and learn.

Make sure to file a NPB on this person. That way you get your final value fees back and also the person gets a NPB on their account, 3 NPB and the person gets "kicked off" Ebay.

You have to be very careful when leaving negative. How long between winning and giving the neg did you wait? Did you have specific terms set up (ie must pay within 3 days or whatever)?

Deffiently respond to the Neg as jipsy suggested, this allows future buyers know your side of the story.

Yep, be careful, same thing happened to me. Though I won an auction. She sold the stuff to someone else. I left her negative so she did for me. Though I did nothing wrong. Whatever!

I am sorry to hear about your experience. Negative feedback is a tricky thing and I am ever so hesitant to leave it because of the backlash, even when it was well deserved. I think she deserved the negative feedback, however, I think I would have waited a bit more before posting it, but that is just me. Sometimes you have to weigh the pros and cons of possible retaliation, are you willing to leave the negative risking picking up a negative yourself? I had an auction where someone won and it took them a month to pay, but with my badgering they finally paid. I so much wanted to leave them negative feedback, but I just didn't want to risk them writing some negative to me because I did absolutely nothing wrong.

I sure hope you are able to resell the tickets. Good luck.

3 NPB and the person gets "kicked off" Ebay

I think that is ridiculus. I don't think the person should be allowed to go up to TRHEE times as a Non-paying bidder, I think they should be kicked off of eBay the FIRST time they fail to pay.

The auction ended on 2/7 and when she failed to show up to pick up the tickets and then failed to return phone calls for 3 days I thought that was enough time for an event coming up the next week.

If it had been something else I was auctioning I wouldn't have been so quick to leave neg. feedback. S

Thanks for letting me vent, I feel better already.

Oh yeah 1 more thing she was new to ebay and had no feedback. I guess that didn't help, in my mind.

I am a regular seller on the .co.uk ebay site and when I list I always always give the potential bidders terms and conditions I have been mis led by about 4 NPBs now and it seems to be getting worse, it is frustrating when some one leaves you negative feedback but just respond to it and usually if you have an otherwise good feedback rating then most bidders will look above your one negative.

Good luck.

I got lots of preorders on half.com..
The last 2 people were nonsenders...
Don't know what is so hard about that..
They got my money but didn't send the product...
Have to wait 30 days to file a claim then 30 more to receive your refund...
