looking for some quick advice:

purchased an item on ebay for DH. prior to purchasing it had a few conversations with the seller and they always answered promptly. purhased said item and paid for it right away.

asked seller to please send me tracking info as it was going to be sent out via fed ex. have heard nothing and it's been 2 days. looked on ebay and it seems that the item has been relisted.

now i understand there is a chance that the seller has more than 1 of the item and i trying to avoid some listing fees but should i be worried? i know it's only been 2 days but all of my other ebay transactions in the past few weeks have been very positive and have great communication between myself and the sellers.

how much longer should i give it until i do something? i was thinking of trying to contact the seller again on Monday. i'm just a little anxious as it's a christmas gift for my DH. he never wants anything but wanted this item..

thanks
lara

I wouldn't worry about it quite yet since it has only been two days. Just email the seller again and ask him if he has shipped the item yet.

A seller only saves on fees if he relists an "unsold" item. Since you bought the item, the seller isn't saving money by relisting the item. He is just saving time by using the same auction over and over again. I relist items all the time because I sell a lot of duplicate items.

Contact the seller again.. It's not considered "harassment" - since they're not responding to your emails..

Good luck! :santa:

I agree. It's getting close to Christmas, and there's no reason they shouldn't send you the tracking number. Just ask nicely. :goodvibes

Did the auction say they would send you the tracking info? I only look that up, and send it if a package is lost (which in over 15,000 sales has only happened a couple of times) or some time has gone by. I don't send that out to all of my buyers, to save time. My buyers love that we ship within two business days, but we can do that, because we send one email thanking them, and (not spending a lot of time going back and forth) telling when the item will ship and we don't pull the tracking info, unless we have to.

You can also call the seller. Go to search, advanced search and put in the auction number and the persons ebay name.

I agree about the relist..it's to save time, usually, but if you are nervous over if you are getting the item, most sellers won't mind a quick phone call.

Sounds very reasonable!:thumbsup2

By eBay rules, they actually have 7 calendar days to mail an item after the payment is received.

I don't know if it's still a rule, but the buyer & seller were supposed to make contact within 3 days of the close of the auction.

Is it possible that the seller is located in a part of the country affected by the blizzard?
