Ebay question...

I haven't used ebay in a few years. Tonight I found something and bought it on a whim. I wanted to contact the seller after the auction and ask him if he could ship with USPS instead of UPS, but I couldn't find a link that works to send an email. Is it impossible to contact the seller after the auction now? The only link that seems to work is the pay now button. I don't want to pay until I ask my question. I'll pay no matter what his answer is, but I want to at least ask. Help!

In the BUY column click on WON--Go to your item that you won and at the end you will see a drop down box that will give you several options one being the option to contact the seller

Seller may have an account with UPS and not use USPS (since UPS actually offers tracking, where USPS only has actual tracking with Express Mail; also UPS includes a certain amount of insurance automatically, so now that a seller can't specifically charge for insurance, seller may use this option to cover himself/herself at no extra charge), so you may be out of luck (personally, I find UPS to be much cheaper when shipping heavier or bulkier items than USPS). Buy purchasing the item, you agreed to the terms as listed. I guess it couldn't hurt to ask. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking.



I found the link. It wasn't in the drop down menu. I had to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. It was hiding down there after a significant amount of white space. I think ebay is trying to discourage people from asking questions after the auction. This button was definitely hiding.

Not so sure that they are trying to discourage questions after, but the time TO ask questions of the buyer is before the auction ends. Once it ends, the buyer has effectively agreed to all terms and conditions stated in the auction.

I'm sure if I discovered my auction more than 5 minutes before it closed I would have taken advantage of that.
