And I would totally agree with you IF the OP told the girl that this was ok. But she didn't. She didn't respond to her. The bidder went ahead and bid and continued to ask for it to be sent directly to her. Regardless if she had a US address for it to be sent to, the fact is that she didn't wait for an answer and she asked about it being sent to her again even though both the auction and the OP said no. Obviously the OP had a problem with this to otherwise she wouldn't have filed a complaint with ebay. People may not find that as a reason to give a neutral, but if someone isn't listening to what I'm saying and continues to ask me about direct shipping when I've already said no, they're not going to get a positive from me because they're clearly ignoring what I'm telling them. If this was an item she really wanted, she should have waited until the OP said it was ok for her to provide an alternate address...not to just bid and assume the OP would ok with it. If this was all worked out with the OP and the OP said it was fine, that would be something different. But the OP did not say it was fine and they even tried to cancel the bid. So obviously the OP wasn't very happy with the person. So why should they leave feedback indicating the experience was wonderful when clearly it wasn't??For me it's about making a sale. She said she didn't ship internationally, so the gal found a work around. IMO it doesn't deserve a neutral. Sure she can refuse to sell it to her, and not get a bad mark, however, unless it resells, she'll owe the listing fees (and she can end up with a big fat negative, as unfair as it would be..but if she can leave that nuetral, the bidder can also leave feedback). Yes, she'll get back the end fees, and if it sells won't have to pay again for the listing fees again, but what a pain. She sells and ships within the US, and everyone is happy. My son in Ireland has stuff sent to me all the time, and I send within the US if someone wants me too.
I don't see any reason why it would be a nuetral, just because she didn't answer the email (thinking it was spam)..since she says she ships to the US, and that is where it can be shipped.
The only people who should be offended are those who would pull a stunt like this. It's one thing if you have everything arranged before an auction's end (in which case, yes, the person would deserve a positive). Quite another when you just bid unconcerned about what the seller wants.
