Hi all. I ordered an item off of e-bay the end of september for $23.00 and paid through paypal. I have never heard a thing from this person. I e-mailed them 3 different times (still nothing). I called and they said they would call me back. 5 days later (still nothing). I contact ebay and they basically said they could not do anything and gave me a list of option to take. 1. call this person (already did)
2. squaretrade 3. contact authorities.

I thought about going through squaretrade or contacting paypal. What would you do?? I am probably going to have to eat the money. Also, this person has about 3000 "good" feedback. I guess I am the lucky one...

Thanks.

I had a similar problem about a week ago. I called the seller & sent e-mails, no reply. I filed a complaint with PayPal and still didn't hear anything. Finally I filed a free complaint with Squaretrade and received an response from the seller the next day. My item was finally shipped and I have received it. I say try squaretrade, it is free and it can't hurt. Good Luck!

Have you called them? Ebay requires a working phone number to be able to sell.

you state you paid using paypal..hopefully you used a credit card and not a transfer of fund from your account..you MUST file the complaint within 30 days of the end of the auction..then, if the seller can't provide proof of shipment to you within 7 days of the payment, paypal will attempt to recover your money from the sellers funds..if there are none,..they will inform you that you are out of luck with paypal,,and then, if you paid using a credit card, you can then file for a chargeback thru your bank/credit card company..if you paid using a check or money order..you can file mail fraud with the USPS...file with square trade also if you haven't..the only time I had a problem with a seller..that spurred them into refunding my $!
Good luck!

What she said! LOL I had a problem with a seller twice. I filed a complaint with paypal both times. I got my money back both times, once through the sellers funds and the other time I had to get a chargeback from my cc. Good Luck!

As a seller, I can tell you that Paypal is EXTREMELY biased in favor of buyers. All you need to do is charge the seller back with your CC and Paypal hold them responsible.

Unfortunately for sellers, Paypal also does this when there is no proof that the buyer didn't get their item, even if the seller has proof of delivery.

I had lost countless dollars, and items because of Paypal (I no longer use them) because despite having proof of quick delivery, Paypal has always ruled in favor of the buyer.

If you contact Paypal and tell them you are the buyer, you should have your money back very quickly.

I just found something out regarding PayPal that is driving me crazy. When I had a personal account, I paid for things with my credit card. I got Disney Dollars(!) and felt somewhat secure. Once I got a payment via a CC, I had to upgrade to the enhanced account. No bid deal, or so I thought. Now I am not ALLOWED to pay for anything with my credit card. It has simply disappeared from the list of funding options. Now my only choices are PayPal funds or my checking account with an automated draw. I HATE this.

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately, I used the transfer of funds through paypal and not a credit card. Will paypal work with me even though I didn't use a credit card? I did file a compliant through squaretrade. Hope they help. I'll take anything at this point!
