Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

I have a new question...I received my magic code from Orbitz this morning. I have reserved 2 rooms at AOA for the last two nights of our trip. We are staying off site for the first 5 nights (free room so, I can't pass it up!). Should I link the tickets to my MDE account and just see what happens in regards to the room?

ETA: I don't know what will happen with FP+ seeing as though I'm only booked for the last two nights.

I would link them because then you can at least book FP+ in advance for those last 2 days.

Emailed orbitz yesterday afternoon and received the my magic code this morning. Linked it to my disney experience and the cash back has already posted to my account. I can't believe how easy it all was and what an amazing deal. Thank you so much to everyone for sharing their experience.

I'm with ya, too. I bought mine on Saturday night. I can see the shopping trip, but there is no check mark or cash pending. I went ahead and filled out their form, and they told me to wait 7 days. So, I hope they aren't difficult to deal with. I think they will give me the credit. I just don't want to haggle over what percentage they give me because I will of course expect the 20%. This was my first time to use ebates. I have a friend who told me they are very reputable so I'm not gonna worry too much until I submit the form again after the 7 days. It is a very good deal. Wish it would have went smoothly for everyone. I feel pretty good though. I can see my shopping trip listed and have my confirmation email from Orbitz - just hope they honor the 20%.

I'm hoping since the shopping trip is listed it won't be too hard . . . but it would suck for them to want to only give 4% when we all bought at 20%!

Help please with Disney Math.

I bought the adult/ child 5 day passes and thinking about upgrading.

so I looked at the Disney website. Annual passes regardless if child or adult is 675.21 with tax. I subtract out the Disney website price for the 5 day ticket park hopper 387.66 adult or 366.36 and I then owe 287.55 for the adult tickets and 308.85 for the kids prices?

so out of pocket would be roughly 475.21 for the annual pass?

And I no longer see an option for non expiry tickets. Did they do away with those?:confused3

They still have non expiring tickets, you can get them at the park or call. I think they may have pulled them online because people were buying them incorrectly thinking they needed that option. I bought one last week from UT.

Shame I missed this! Though since we won't go until December I'm hoping they bring it back another time.

Am I correct in assuming that the tickets purchased from Orbitz are considered "All Guests" tickets, since there was not an option for FL residents? I purchased the 5 day + hopper (3 days + 2 free) and will be upgrading to FL resident annual passes after we use the tickets once. Just want to make sure they will apply the non-FL resident prices to my 5 day tickets when calculating the difference. In other words, could they say "You're a FL resident, so your 5 day tickets are considered FL resident 5 day tickets"?

I just started using Ebates. Wish I had been using it the last few months due to all the online purchases I have made for our new house::yes::

Pending cash from my Monday orders showed up today. We are taking a trip with 12 family members...can't believe how much we saved! Yippee!! :cheer2:

Purchased Sunday morning
and after calling Orbitz everyday I finally was able to get my magic plus code. I bet they're glad to be rid of me :)
Ebates money in account and tickets are linked to MDE
All is good :thumbsup2

So, this was my first time using ebates. Clicked on the link to Orbitz via ebates Sunday evening, bought 4 tickets, got my confirmation. The shopping trip was listed in "Shopping Trips" in my ebates account, although no star like some people have mentioned until today; but today I log in and see nothing. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

So there was a checkmark next to the shopping trip and now it's gone?

Nope, no checkmarks and now they aren't listed...although oddly enough if I got to the "Where's my Cash Back?" page and put in the date the shopping trip number shows up.

Same here. I've had plenty of other shopping trips do the same thing. After 7 days, I was able to fill out the where's my cashback and I get it instantly. I purchased mine on Saturday and still don't see the checkmark, but the trip is there. I'm just afraid that when I do the "where's my cashback" after 7 days, that I'll get credited the current 4%. I'll have to call if that happens. The only reason I purchased through Orbitz was for the 20% back, otherwise I would have gotten 12% off through a friend who gets discounts.

415-908-2200 I'd call them.

They show'd back up today in my shopping tips list (no checkmark, but I am waiting 7 days). Maybe they were do maintenance last night and the data wasn't available or something?? I don't know, but you can guarantee that I will be contacting them Monday if nothing has changed.
