Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

I see lots of folks are linking this deal to their MDE account.

We're staying offsite for our upcoming visit, should we create an MDE account anyway?

I prefer to link this voucher to an MDE account, rather than holding onto a piece of paper until late summer in order to physically redeem them at the parks for actual tickets.

You won't have a Magic Band if you're staying offsite, so there is nothing to link the tickets to. As of right now, offsite guests cannot book FP+ in advance, either, which is one of the reasons that people want to link their tickets to MDE before they arrive.

So, if you're staying offsite, you will still need to redeem your voucher for the physical tickets when you arrive in Disney. At least, that's how things are going right now. The whole FP+/MB thing is fluid and still in the testing phases.

However, you can still create a MDE account to manage of your ADRs. It's nice to have them all in one place and I found it to be a very convenient way to cancel and re-book them when we change our minds about dining.

It might be beneficial to link to MDE just so you can make FP+ reservations when they open up for off-site visitors (if you're going in late summer--you will be able to prebook FP+). You might still have to redeem the physical ticket in lieu of having a magic band, though.

FYI, I ordered last Thursday and still have no cash back pending. I'm not hugely concerned, since I've already linked the tickets, and I do see the shopping trip in my Ebates account. I'll wait until it's been 7 days, and if it's still not there, I'll check with Ebates about it.

Yes, I am afraid the deal is dead.

It went down to 10% yesterday, and now back to standard rebate.

For those of you who have not seen the cashback, have you checked your dashboard? There is a place to track your shopping tickets. If it has a check, it means you purchased something. So it might ease your mind until the money appears.

Update: Ordered 2/24 at 5 PM CST. Cred Card just charged and as soon as that changed from pending to charged Ebates showed my cashback... $160 back on my $800 worth of tickets.... SCORE!!!! THANK YOU DISBOARDS!!!

No check mark on mine.

It's bee 48 hours since my purchase, and nothing yet.

I can see my trips, but no check mark to indicate something was purhcased.

We'll see.

I purchased Saturday afternoon. I show 3 trips to Orbitz on the ebates dashboard. I also specifically went back to the ebates page right before went through the checkout procedure just to be sure. Still no checkmark in my trips. I'm hoping that once the 7 days passes, if it's still not there, I'll just submit a case and they'll instantly credit me. They've done that in the past. Only issue is will they know to credit me the 20% or will they credit me the current 4%.

I have ordered the tickets yesterday and my tracking ticket showed a checkmark today. I have used ebates for many years. Maybe that is why it showed up quickly?
