You won't have a Magic Band if you're staying offsite, so there is nothing to link the tickets to. As of right now, offsite guests cannot book FP+ in advance, either, which is one of the reasons that people want to link their tickets to MDE before they arrive.I see lots of folks are linking this deal to their MDE account.
We're staying offsite for our upcoming visit, should we create an MDE account anyway?
I prefer to link this voucher to an MDE account, rather than holding onto a piece of paper until late summer in order to physically redeem them at the parks for actual tickets.
So, if you're staying offsite, you will still need to redeem your voucher for the physical tickets when you arrive in Disney. At least, that's how things are going right now. The whole FP+/MB thing is fluid and still in the testing phases.
However, you can still create a MDE account to manage of your ADRs. It's nice to have them all in one place and I found it to be a very convenient way to cancel and re-book them when we change our minds about dining.
