Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

NO need to call orbitz. You can find your will call number on Orbitz. Just click you upcoming vacation by your name on the top line of Orbitz. On the next screen click the date listed. Scroll down till you see your will call confirmation number which should start with 4 letters. It will be available within a few minutes after purchasing. Then go to MDE and add the confirmation number to the ticket section.

Interesting...my will call number was not the same as my MDE linking number (My Magic number). They did both start with letters but they weren't the same.

My will call number does not work in MDE. It's not a problem for me because I don't need to tie them into my account before I leave for Disney. But the will call number on the voucher is not the same as the My Magic Number.
 
I just ordered... nervous and excited. Never used Orbits or a will call situation. Hope this wroks!!

That does not work. I tried several times, called Disney and they also confirmed that it would not work. They advised me to call Orbitz and ask for the "magic code". Orbitz gave me that and I then went back to MDE and entered that number. All of my tickets linked using that number.
 
I got my tickets on friday, and the money is not pending yet in my ebates account... Anyone else find this to be the case too? Should I contact them yet, or be worried?

I have the same problem . I purchased universal tickets total:$768.95
and walt Disney world tickets total:$1690.18 and my ebates account shows an ebate for: $153.79 I'm not sure why that is a 20% ebate should have been a little over $490 I sent an email to ebates and currently I'm waiting for a response. Anyone else had problems?:confused3

I still have no response. Let me know if you get one....
 
Thank you so much for helping with this deal. I just booked a trip for my son (14) and my mom! I am so excited he is getting to go. I am hoping that my husband and I and him will still be able to go sometime this year but I am just happy for him!!

We are DVC Members but because we are not going to be there, he will not be able to upgrade his 5 day hopper to an AP. But my mom said that since she was paying for his ticket ($341.87), we can make up the difference and get him the AP! So I will be calling DVC tomorrow to take care of that!

I will be going back to read this thread to read how to link everything and do the MagicBands and the FP+ as we have no idea how that works!!

I am pretty sure that this has been answered - I just can't find the post. I put my moms name in on the ticket and picking it up - we have friends that are going in April. Would I be able to call Orbitz and change it where they could pick it up? Not that it is a big deal, just trying to have everything as ready for them as possible. They are not going until July.

But once again, thank you all so much for posting this!!

did you have to pick up the tickets at all at the disney window?
or did you do everything at the comfort of your home?

i am planning to go in the future but want to take advantage of this deal now.

1) buy tickets from orbitz (enter any date, maybe march?)....you get an email confirmation from the order from orbitz
2) call/email orbitz for the MyMagic+ Code by giving the email confirmation number from 1)
3) they will provide you the MyMagic+ Code
4) enter it to disney website to get it registered (so you can use it at anytime)
5) when you want to go disney, just go to will call window to get the REAL wristbands...
is that correct?!?!

do i have to go exchange the orbitz voucher to disney tickets at all during the time i picked as the activity dates that i picked from orbitz at all or can i do it from home?

Once I link the magic number to my room only reservation and assign tickets to each person in my travel party are they now "owned" by the person I'm assigning them to even if they haven't been used?

If we cancel the trip and rebook can I re-assign them to someone other than who they were previously assigned to?

Thoughts....?

My brother's MDE account is linked to mine. I can see his tickets, one of which is an AP and the other is a 1-day hopper ticket. MDE has the following notes:

Disney Premium Annual Pass - DVC
Age: 10 and older
Expires:MM DD, YYYY

Non-Transferable

1-Day Theme Park
Tickets: Park Hopper
Age: 10 and older
Assigned to: Mickey Mouse

So the ticket problem is solved, however, will it mess with my ebates???? I noticed in my shopping summary that my purchase on Saturday has a check mark, but the one from this morning does not...:confused3

Any idea if this will cause me an issue? Thanks

It was answered earlier. Apparently EBates only applies the 20% to a single line item. A previous poster had success getting applied to the entire order through email. Hope you do too!

As long as you clicked the Orbitz link through your Ebates account you shouldn't have a problem. If they need proof, you could just forward them your email confirmation.
 
Thanks OP! Played with the numbers, and even though I would have saved more buying the 3 day + 2 free with park hoppers for 4 of us, and then adding on 3 days at WDW, the amount was small enough that it wasn't worth risking not being able to book fastpasses for those 3 extra days during the busy Christmas week. Still, you saved me about $390! Only part that scares me is if we have to cancel for any reason, then they are nonrefundable. I really hesitated before hitting the finalizing button due to that! Does anyone know if trip insurance (not through Disney) would cover this amount if an emergency ever came up? Too tired to research tonight, since I spent hours looking at these posts, playing with numbers, repeat, and finally purchasing.

So excited to save anything during our first Christmas trip knowing discounts are not usually offered! Unless free dining is offered where we could take advantage of it, then the ticket saving through the mentioned sites are the best deal. If free dining SHOULD happen, then I might have to think about booking with that and turn the voucher in for tickets without using them this trip. Thanks!!!!
