We will be cruising for a second time on the EB Transatlantic. This time we are taking my mom and our friends. We made some awsome cruising friends on the boat last time but thanks to disboards we will have lots of friends before the trip also:yay: .

Welcome! :goodvibes

:cheer2: GO SPEED WILSON!:cheer2:

I could do BOTH repositioning cruises for about a grand more than what the Baltic is costing. That's $3500 and change for 28 days on the Magic! :scared1:

EB 1/2 of a Cat 11, WB 1/2 of a Cat 7

I get five weeks vacation........

:rolleyes1

HEAVEN! :cloud9:

I can organize both...I have done secret santa before...But what are the price limits? Do we set them or just let the participants set them?

Can anyone who wants to do Fish extenders or Secret Mickey PM me and I'll get a list rolling! Thanks!

i have pm'd you we are in :cool1: now i just have to start thinking of some fe ideas

amanda

I have seen that several of you have done the EB Repo before. Can you tell me what it was like for those 2 weeks? What was the evening entertainment like? Do they do the Pirate party like they do on the Caribbean cruises? We will be in the Caribbean for a while. What was there to do on the days at sea? I had taken a 10 day cruise on Princess and there were 4 sea days and they were what convinced me I would like a cruise with more sea days than port days. I was also wondering how long you stayed in Barcelona? Were you able to fly home the same day you arrived? Did you have to stay overnight? I was hoping to get home on Sunday since I am using so many vacation days I don't think I want to use Monday as well. I am so looking forward to this cruise.

Welcome aboard! I've added you to the website (www.freewebs.com/spanishinquisition/) . If you could PM me with your hometown, stateroom number and dinner rotation (or any of those that you feel comfortable sharing) I'll add it to your entry.

Seasickness! Bah humbug!

What do you think those railings are for?

How can we do an Edwardian Tea without you guys? You have to start planning your tea gowns now.

Good thing I've started DIETING for a tea gown. Wouldn't want to look like Miss Marple in one of those things. Oh wait, wrong decade....I wouldn't want to look like MRS. FEZZIWIG!:lmao: Oh wait, she's a Victorian character....hmmmmmm.....see what I mean....no fat Edwardian ladies. Apparently all those round Victorian ladies wasted away while mourning their queen!

.

Oh, I also have a question for those who did the EB last time. What time did you get off the ship? What's the earliest time one could book a flight out of Barcelona?

.

We are interested in the fish extender ( although I'm not 100% sure what it is) can you put us down on the list. Thanks

I'm not sure if you've cruised before so I'll start from the beginning. ;) Each stateroom has a decorative fish outside the door. DCL uses this as a mail slot, leaving you any letters/notes they may have for you there. (i.e. DD got her invitation to the teen 411, we got information on the art auction, and when we did our back-to-back we got information on how that would be handled on our fish.)

Fish Extenders (FE) are fabric pockets that you hang from the fish outside your stateroom door. If you participate in the Fish Extender exchange you will purchase/make a small gift for each stateroom participating. Then, you will leave your gifts in their fish extenders anonymously. (I'm not sure if this is done on a schedule or whenever you'd like.) So, everyone will get a small gift in their FE from everyone else!

Here are the Navigators from the last Eastbound. Enjoy!

As for Barcelona, we arrive their the day before disembarkation and stay in port overnight. You'll be able to disembark at 8am on Sunday, 4/24 so you should have no trouble flying out that day if you choose. We plan to rent a car and tour Spain (and possibly Portugal) for a few days before heading home.

Hey we are back from WDW. We went to MNSSHP on thursday night and had a GREAT TIME!!!!!! I think we got on just about every ride in the park and our longest wait was 15 minutes.:woohoo:

Count me in for the fish extenders and and secret mickey! We have done the fish extenders before but not the the secret mickey.

My mom and I were talking about staying an extra week, renting a car and driving into france and northern Italy. My parents travel to Europe every year and are very familiar with Italy. So now I am really excited about the trip.:dance3:

Got it now! Thanks!

I noticed that you mentioned scrapbooking at sea. I never bring my scrapbook stuff with me on vacation but I'd love to come hang out with anyone who is scrapbooking so count me in!

I just got off the Magic (OCt 11-18)and had an incredible time!!! Our first cruise but obviously not our last!! We rebooked this cruise while on board and got amazing rates!!! Now that the dust has settled we need to make sure these dates work and that we don't need to switch the cruise but as of today we are booked, I met some pretty amazing people on my last cruise from the Dis-meets, looking forward to getting to know more!!! We are in Canada, just east of Toronto, we have a ds (10 at sailing), dd (8 at sailing) and me (Gina) and my dh (Alec). We got a secret port hole room and did book airfare with DCL.

Oh my, if Cherie will come, I will hire her. Let's do it! I'm going to find out about this home schooling...can DH work while we are there? Now that is the question!

It was so nice having her tutor the kids on the repo. Thanks again Cherie:flower3:

Yeah! Way to go Wilson! We were at your neck of the woods today. Visited my sister in the Willow Glen area. Drove by our old house on S. Clover, and tried to find our cat (that our neighbor adopted). I couldn't remember your address...we really should meet for coffee since we are so close!
Let me know if you can ever venture to Mountain View (to my work).

Wow. That would be incredible. And wonderful if you could sail with us!!

Night all!
Lisa

::yes:: coffee would be nice. I'll email you from my desk and we'll make a date :flower3:

I suppose checking here every day does not make this cruise come any faster!

::yes:: it does make it come one day at a time, please keep checking :goodvibes

Welkom! Ik spreek Nederlandse een beetje.

OK, that's about the extent of my Dutch (I lived in Amsterdam for about 8 months).

Welcome!

CraftyMouse - sent you my info through PM

I also want to do the fish extender for my family members and also the secret mickey exchange for everyone. Can the kids participate?

Welcome to all the new people - I have been out of the world it feels like - really only to West Virginia - and have not had internet most of the time (or cell coverage) I am really excited about this trip and meeting everyone (or seeing some of you again :) )

I'm going to have to look at some fashion stuff. I see you in sort of arts & crafts attire, artistic or dress reform style:

As a matter of fact, I believe I have a photo of you from the Panama Canal cruise on a formal night, where something that is rather arts & crafts inspired.
