Krisann and Yvet - I've added you both to the website. Welcome aboard!
537 days to go!
537 days to go!
I'm going to have to look at some fashion stuff. I see you in sort of arts & crafts attire, artistic or dress reform style:

As a matter of fact, I believe I have a photo of you from the Panama Canal cruise on a formal night, where something that is rather arts & crafts inspired.
LOVE this one! And yes, you do have a photo of me from PC formal night #2 with my purple 'artsy' outfit!
See....now I have to book this cruise!
.
I just got off the Magic (OCt 11-18)and had an incredible time!!! Our first cruise but obviously not our last!! We rebooked this cruise while on board and got amazing rates!!! Now that the dust has settled we need to make sure these dates work and that we don't need to switch the cruise but as of today we are booked, I met some pretty amazing people on my last cruise from the Dis-meets, looking forward to getting to know more!!! We are in Canada, just east of Toronto, we have a ds (10 at sailing), dd (8 at sailing) and me (Gina) and my dh (Alec). We got a secret port hole room and did book airfare with DCL.

Good thing I've started DIETING for a tea gown. Wouldn't want to look like Miss Marple in one of those things. Oh wait, wrong decade....I wouldn't want to look like MRS. FEZZIWIG!Oh wait, she's a Victorian character....hmmmmmm.....see what I mean....no fat Edwardian ladies. Apparently all those round Victorian ladies wasted away while mourning their queen!
.
Seasickness! Bah humbug!
What do you think those railings are for?

You are such a kindred spirit.
We're going to be buying shirts with high celluloid collars.
We will be cruising for a second time on the EB Transatlantic. This time we are taking my mom and our friends. We made some awsome cruising friends on the boat last time but thanks to disboards we will have lots of friends before the trip also.

I think this time I am going to do my FE gifts as things that will fit into an envelope
I have done this before with a swap I do on my Christmas Organizing web site and it worked out well - doesn't take up as much space as some other things - and you can get pretty creative with some cool things when you limit yourself to a size.
now to put on my thinking cap- oh never mind just figured out what I will do
now I need to design them and wait 16 months for the final count of FE participants

Well my Secret Mickey did not show up for the reveal on my last cruise and I still have her last giftand since at this moment she is also on this cruise I will bring it back with me on this cruise - or do you think I should ask for her mailing address and send it?
Krisann
I'm not sure if you've cruised before so I'll start from the beginning. Each stateroom has a decorative fish outside the door. DCL uses this as a mail slot, leaving you any letters/notes they may have for you there. (i.e. DD got her invitation to the teen 411, we got information on the art auction, and when we did our back-to-back we got information on how that would be handled on our fish.)
Fish Extenders (FE) are fabric pockets that you hang from the fish outside your stateroom door. If you participate in the Fish Extender exchange you will purchase/make a small gift for each stateroom participating. Then, you will leave your gifts in their fish extenders anonymously. (I'm not sure if this is done on a schedule or whenever you'd like.) So, everyone will get a small gift in their FE from everyone else!
I'm wondering if you wer'e my secret Mickey ? Was it the EB panama? I never recieved info on where the meet was for the reveal so I never got to go. IAlso the secret Mickey I had had to get off the ship early for an emergency so I never got to meet her either. Such a bummer! I thought I read you wer'e on the WB Panama though.
nope - I was on the WB Repo - sorry about your SM.

David here. I booked this cruise just as soon as it was available. Thought I would check out and see if anyone had started a thread for this cruise or not. We are up to page 24 already and we have 536 days to go!!!!!![]()
I thought maybe page 2 or maybe a page 3 but 24..................that is super!!! It will be just DW and I going on this one. We would love to be able to our granddaughter along, but she can't miss 2 weeks of school. I know, I know it would be a great learning experience for her. That was my arugment with DW but I lost...............(as usual!!!!!)
I never win these battles. Not once, nada, zip, well maybe once but I think she let me win that one. On what color of pants I was going to wear to work 2 years ago. I was wearing jeans that day if I'm not mistaken!!!

We've booked for the EB!
This will be our 4th DCL, the first that doesn't stop on Nassau.![]()
We have never been overseas and would like to stay over for at least a few days. I have been looking into taking train to paris and then London. Flights seem to be cheaper out of London...so I'm hoping th cost difference with make it worth it. Although, I wish I woulda booked the Disney Fare that was quoted last week! Those fares are going to be hard to beat!
