Eating out for Easter

This Easter I wont be able to visit family because my DF has to work the weekend.We decided to go out to eat for Easter lunch and wanted to know where other people plan to go to eat. Has anyone ever tried Luby's for their holiday meals?

Do you have a Cracker Barrel in your area? Thats always a great place to eat.

I love Cracker Barrell but we are looking for a more traditional easter dinner. Do they serve that?

this year we are goign out to the Irish Coffee House for Easter dinner...I prefer to go out for the holidays...I cook most of the year...I feel the holidays are my time to be served!

I've been trying to figure out what exactly a traditional Easter dinner entails? It seems where I come from every special meal either includes turkey or ham. Would that be true for Easter? Anyway...I digress.

I think if I were going out to a chain restaurant I would chose something like Swiss Chalet or the Keg for their consistancy.

Easter dinner to me means ham, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, peas,dressing or stuffing, and lots of pies. I grew up with a southern mom and a yankee dad. Therefore I like all the different dished and Easter dinner was pretty much the same as Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner.

We're a Luby's family - mostly because my mother in law likes to go there and will treat us! Actually, since the Pappas' family has bought them out several years ago, they've improved their menu and is more trendy and less, well, geriatric.

If you want to avoid the 'cafeteria crowd', then why not have them put a meal to go for you and your DF and put it on your good china at home.
