Does WDW allow eating on the Disney-run transportation? I am most curious about the buses.

I do not think it is officially allowed. I have seen folks eating, but I never do. I also see signs about beverages, but I admit I take my morning cup of coffee on occasion.

My gut reaction was "No", but I can't seem to find anything saying one way or the other. The Google, it does nothing!

There are signs that say no food or drink, but that doesn't stop people. I've never seen anyone asked to put their drink or snack down, though.

Officially, I have seen "no food or drinks" signs on the buses and I believe the little audio clip says the same. I was asked to put away a banana once and that was on the bus. However, every morning we got on the bus at least a 1/2 dozen people brought their coffee on without any issue. So perhaps there is an exception for coffee drinkers? :confused3

You're not supposed to, but it doesn't mean they will or will not enforce it. One thing to always be conscious of (especially with things like nuts) is allergies.

A PB&J sandwich could mean a disaster for somebody if they are careless themselves.

It's fine to bring drinks with lids, although you're not supposed to drink them.

You aren't supposed to, a lot of people do. We don't eat, but we do bring our refillable mugs from the resort. I did have an open can of pepsi one time and the bus driver told me it had to be sealed or in a closed container. So, I opened my empty mug, dropped the can in it and snapped the lid back on. It irked me just a bit because when I sat down there were people feeding their kids breakfast , but rules are rules and I was definitely breaking one.

We like rules, so will abstain while on the transportation. We can wait a few short minutes after all. Now, my husband and his coffee? I am guessing the seeming exception to the rule for coffee drinkers is so nobody has to mess with uncaffeinated adults!

I guess that middle icon is supposed to be a cup and ... a hotdog?

And the third is...? A radio?

My kids get a huge kick out of those signs on the buses. . . . We're never sure what the "no 1970's radios" sign is supposed to deter, and we do interpret the middle one strictly as "no hot dogs". I do love the "no dancing on the buses" one, where is that picture?:drive:

I've seen the signs but one time the bus came before my ice cream was all so I had to break the rules for a minute ;)

I agree with this one!! You do NOT wan to be around my DH before at least 1 pot of coffee - LOL

Yeah, theres nothing more magical than hitting a bump in the road and having someone's drink splashed down your shirt. The lid on the kid's drink wasn't on securely and he lost his grip on the container. Nice way to start the park day.

I work in the transit industry and granted that the people that ride the WDW buses are, as a rule, cleaner than many public transportation riders, the amount of germs on the rails, seat, hand grips, etc etc, would stop me from touching anything that was going into my mouth. I will take my mug of coffee on the bus though.

Ugh. No worse than the guy in the cafeteria today who couldn't wait five more seconds for me to finish filling up my tea, squeezed around me, and activated the orange soda dispenser with his arm. I got a nice spatter, but his wrist and his white shirt took the brunt if it. Serves him right.

Thanks FlightlessDuck for the pic!

It's no jumping around - aka stay seated, or at least don't play on the bus.
