Eat, Run and Celebrate- Day 7- Last Day and New Orleans

Oh my...you are one talented woman. We had two people with three rolling luggages, a laptop computer in the case, my purse, Mark's carry on and we had difficulty. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Glad you were able to all work it out.

Now it's time for vacation.

I so did it to myself. :lmao: When I though about packing the backpack just for the conference, I was not thinking about getting it in and out of the airport.

I will share I had it down to a science by the time I landed back in Greenville. :thumbsup2

Too funny about the luggage trek. :rotfl:

I bet you were glad that Disney puts your suitcases into your room and you didn't have to mess with them again once you hit Orlando.

I too realized on this trip the benifits of packing light...we went with 3 full suitcases & 3 carryons and came home with 3 extra bags.
Yes, I did alot of shopping.
Next time I will not bring so much.

your luggage struggles remind me of our hawaii trip

we had the two large checked bags...three rolling luggage for carry on.

plus three personal large bags.

so it was pretty much parker rolling his one bag

(he would get tired and hand it off to me.)

candi would roll two and carry her personal bag.

that left me with two rollers with one suitcase on top of the roller(parkers once he got tired of it, and my laptop bag over my shoulder, and parkers bookbag on back.

gotta love travel times.
:rotfl:

it was really intersteing when we arrived at the hotel with all of that.

plus we stopped for grocerys, and had about 6 bags of stuff.

the bellman looked at me with sympathy and said ill get the cart.

i was glad to have him take it all up and tip the man...he earned it.

i bet it would be fun to sit outside the airport and take pictures of people struggling to get all there stuff inside with them.

I muttered those words at least once if not twice. Once as I landed in New Orleans and once schlepping my bags and knocking things down when trying to get my luggage checked in leaving New Orleans and THEN having to schlep it over to the Drop off spot. Another reason I  Disney.

The dual trip is what did it. That and flying Southwest. I feel I must check 2 bags since they are free. :confused3

:rotfl2: I remember that picture. I know you know sort of how I felt. At least you could have Candi watch the bag while you ... lets say go to the bathroom. I have some more adventures with the bags later on and I can luckily I am a planner. :thumbsup2

Oh Yes It is great when you can just hand that off. Just think what travel will be now with 2 little ones. :scared1: All the gear that goes along with it is just incredible.

:lmao::idea: This time I was the comic relief at the airport. :lmao:

I had a scary but then funny moment in the rain today.

Driving to get lunch and I will admit, going a bit fast and I was distracted by "something " hanging from my antennae- flopping int he breeze and the truck in front of me, without turning on a signal decide to stop and then turn.

Well I slam on the brakes and I mean slam. The ABS kicks in and because I am old and learned to drive without ABS I start to release and then realize I need to step down again. I come to a stop, I skid a tiny bit but never left my lane or hit anything.

My first thought...

Yay the ABS actually worked!!!!

The second thought...

That was just like in Test Track. :sad2: :lmao:

It's a DISease I tell ya.

OK, that is hilarious! I was reading your story and the first thing I thought was Test Track!! It is a disease and I have it too.
Yes, I plan on going NYE. Will you be on the Poly beach too?

I guess if it was the first thing I thought of it would have been worse. :lmao:

NYE Poly Beach - I am there.:cool1:

Scary. But as long as you were okay (and no one else hurt), I'll say this: :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I probably had a moment of :scared1: and then when it all worked out and the ABS did its job. :woohoo: then :rotfl2: when I got Disney ride too.

WHEW... I might have to go to bed after reading that update! It sounds how we travel... well, mostly my wife. We usually have 3 suitcases, 3 carry-ons, 2 personal items, a stroller, car seat (now a booster), and a child. Geez, how am I going to manage this with another child? :confused3

Oh, Hello BTW! :wave2:

Glad I didn't miss too much! :lmao::lmao:

party: :welcome: party: I was going to warn you it was not much to catch up on. :lmao:

Oh I have done the plane travel with 2 kids. As soon as they are big enough I put them to work.

One good thing, as they get a little bigger the amount of stuff they need goes down a bit or at least gets smaller.

Maybe that is why I was able to pull off ( or push ) the bags. :lmao: I have had plenty of practice of rigging up impossible amount of stuff to haul from one place to another with kids in tow. :lmao:

I will be faster than Marv. I can probably guarantee that. :rotfl2:

I can't wait to meet you ladies on the beach for NYE!

I am preparing my DMom that there will be alot of DIS friends this time. :cool1:

Someone will have to get a group shot of us all.

Test Track...That's something I would think too! :rotfl2:

Glad you were safe, could have been aweful.

:rotfl2: I was thinking the same thing!

Pat, I can't wait to see your adventures with your bags along the way.:lmao:

I glad I got my trek across as the most exhausting thing i did that morning because it was. :lmao: If it wouldn't have been so early, I would have stoipped at the bar to have a drink to relax. Luckily McDonalds coffee was on board and it kicked in. :rotfl:

It was almost exactly like TT. I pitched forward and it even went side to side a bit. Luckily another truck did not pull out in front of me right after that like in TT. :lmao:

I think NYE will be a blast. :yay:

Oh my gosh-you describe the whole luggage thing so well!!:lmao:

Jeesh I thought my son leaves early for school. He leaves around 7:10 but your son leaves crazy early!! What time does he start??

Gotta love those auto flushes:). We will be doing that in less than 2 weeks!!:cool1:

I really had to give some thought to my plan of attack witht he luggage.:rotfl:

School starts at 7:15am. Chris could get away with probably leaving at 6:40 or so but then everyone else is leaving and he sits in traffic. He opts to leave about the same time the bus would pick up and then he can park and take his time getting inthe building. I find him alseep onthe couch most days when I come home. He takes a little nap when gets home to offset the early wake up time.

The auto soap in the airport is what made me giggle a bit. Not exactly accurate.

Wow! Score on the $40 flight to MCO! That's awesome. Sounds like I am NOT the only one who has the sherpa disease when it comes to packing for Disney! Love you ABS brake story. I hear ya on being pre- ABS old. :rotfl:
