I am new to this thread, but I really enjoy it. It gives me some ideas for my husband who is a picky eater. I have been using my crockpot more.

Tues: Chicken in crockpot, mashed potatos with asparagus
Weds: Left over pulled pork
Thurs: Maybe breakfast for dinner not sure what
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Sat: Not sure yet

Worked on the menu for this week and in nor particular order we have

Chicken Bratwursts with German Potato Salad
Chicken angelhair pasta
Shepard's Pie
Pork roast in the crock pot with apples and onions
Baked ham with scalloped potatoes

We had pasta fagioli tonight, the rest of the week in no order yet
lentils with pasta, grilled chicken with romaine lettuce salad, homemade pizza on Friday, leftover chili

Does anyone have apple recipies, hopefully "savory" dinner ones. We have a ton of apples to use up. I've done apple crisp, apple/bacon/cheddar pancakes and apple muffins. Tonight I did chicken apple curry; I done like yellow curry but my bf likes it.

I don't know where the recipe was-maybe epicurious-but we did a cheddar apple soufflé once that was great. Braised cabbage with apples is great.

Last week I did a pork chop and apple recipe. It was boneless pork chops baked in apple sauce and cut up apples with a packet of onion soup mix (I only put about half of it in.)

It was pretty good, although it needed a little something more. It woudl be a good base for something, I think.

Sunday was garlic lime chicken
Monday was pork chops with mushroom sauce
Tonight will be meatloaf

The rest of the week : itlalian sausages with pasta
Chicken and rice
Sloppy joes

I posted a recipe index in post number 1 take a look

Thats really helpful! Thanks for doing that. Tonight I am making rosemary chicken and roasted vegtables. I think I'll end up with may too many veggies so i may look up some recipes for a roasted veggie soup for Wednesday. Thursday I'm considering taking the kids out to dinner, we never do that and it's just me and the two of them. Friday will be pasta with meatsauce and salad. Saturday we're at a friends halloween party at dinner time. Sunday I'm having family over for homemade pizza and a Halloween celebration.:cutie:

ur welcome!

menu for the rest of the week

Tomorrow spaghetti and meat balls
Thursday- chicken noodle soup
Friday pizza and a movie
Saturday taco pie
Sunday leftovers or mac and cheese

Ugh. Decided to do weight watchers online as I'd really like to lose 15 lbs before our trip to Hawaii at Christmas. It makes cooking so much less fun :(

Anyway, I'm doing my best. Anyone have any great recipe ideas?

We had baked fish (halibut and salmon that a friend brought, from Alaska) Saturday night, with a brown rice pilaf.

Sunday was a family potluck.

Last night, I made a big pot of a fabulous vegetarian tortilla soup-it's really easy and healthy, and delicious. Ate leftovers tonight.

Not sure what's up for the rest of the week. I'd like to do something in the crock pot tomorrow.
