Welcome Piecey ! We still go out too much too but the thread really does help to inspire me.

:welcome:

Thanks! We really go out way too much, too. I had a bad day Monday so we ordered in Chinese & I hate that! I have soo much food sitting in the pantry/freezer and yet I ordered Chinese. :confused3

We will be eating out tomorrow (DS has a specialist appt 3 hours away) & eating out Saturday (date night! No kids! :cool1:).. So of the 7 days this week, we are eating out 3. Ridiculous! :sad2: Not giving up a night in a restaurant with no kids, though! Haha.

I hope this thread motivates me to stick to a plan! Accountability is a good thing.

Friday I'm planning on seasoned chicken strips, pasta roni & one of the many bags of "steamer" veggies in my freezer!

Saturday we are going out.

Sunday if it isn't raining, we are spending the day at my parents house, by the pool. If it does rain, I'm making a homemade pizza & cheese sticks.

Dinner tonight:

Crab Melts (new recipe, not sure about it...)
Chips
Carrot Sticks and Dip

DH goes for his bone scan tomorrow...here's hoping the Dr can figure out what the problem is!

Ihope they are able to figure out the problem

We had a nice trip. Great weather nice hotel. Even had a free 9 hole mini golf :cool1:

Today dd is getting her hair cut:sad1: it's what she wants but it's only been cut twice in 8 years I know it will look great though. :)

Anyways sauce from the freezer tonight.

That sounds so good!! I'll have to add project chops to my shopping list :)

Creamy Herb Pork Chops:

6 pork chops
1 can cr of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream
1 pkt. Lipton herb dry seasoning mix

In crock pot, mix soup, sour cream, and seasoning mix. Place chops in mixture. Cook on low 6-8 hours. Serve over hot rice or noodles.

Last night I was good and we ended up having grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with chips and grapes for dinner.

Tonight we are having a split dinner. Mom is making herself meatloaf (I am not a fan) and I am having turkey keilbasa (she is not a fan) and we are both having homemade ratatouille as a side. Our neighbor has a huge garden and gave us a huge basket full of veggies to use. So my mom made a huge pot of ratatouille.

Crab Melts last night were HORRIBLE!! :scared1: I am subscribed to an online meal planning site and this was by far the worst recipe so far. We have been subscribed for 4 months and have had enormous success, so one dud is fine. ;)

Dinner tonight:

Crunchy Chicken
Creamy Pasta
Summer Squash Casserole (leftovers from last week, it was soooo yummy!)
*Chocolate Pudding with Cool Whip

Is it too late to join in here? My name is Ashley and I have a WDW :) and a fast-food addiction. :( {waves: Hi everybody}

I was talking to my DH lastnight about wanting to return to WDW in May after my college graduation but it looks like it's not in our budget. Then he pointed out how much money we could save by eating at home (for the 2 million'th time) and it clicked -- I can SO do this! Whatever it takes to get my family another WDW trip! I'm just no good with planning with everything else on my plate right now, then it ends up being a last minute fast food run {big sigh}. I'm doing coupons again and have a full freezer & pantry with a renewed cook-at-home vow...so here's my dinner plans:

Lastnight: homemade pizza
Tonight: spaghetti, salad
Friday: grilled chicken, green beans, pasta salad
Saturday: DD's 8th bday! :cutie: Mexican food night for family party
Sunday: shopping day...will start new plan then

I have really enjoyed reading all the posts here!

Just got back from the grocery store. Band camp is almost done, so things will be getting back to normal soon! I grocery shop every Thursday.

Thursday- Chicken fajitas. (dd having pizza at camp)
Friday- Band camp family night, potluck! I am taking broccoli pasta salad.
Saturday-Dh has a company dinner. Dd has requested Chinese so we will cheat and eat out that night!
Sunday-Shrimp alfredo, salad, watermelon
Monday- Chicken black bean quesadilla's, fruit
Tuesday- Ravioli, green beans, watermelon
Wednesday-Blueberry pancakes, bacon, eggs, fruit

I mixed up dinner for last night with dinner tonight and so we had the Monte Cristo's on Wed. Tonight will be a burrito bake I guess.

Sat down and already came up with my Meal plan for next week

Monday~ Turkey Club Sandwiches with soup

Tuesday~ Bacon cheeseburgers with home made sweet potato fries

Wednsday~ Spinach Lasagna Roll ups with salad and Garlic Bread

Thursday~ Pineapple grilled pork tenderloin, mashed sweet potatoes and steamed broccli

Friday~English muffin french toast, bacon and eggs

Saturday~ Pulled pork Sandwiches (made from left overs of Thursday's dinner) with chips

Sunday~Tex Mex Lasagna

Going to be going through my cook books to get ideas for the upcomming weeks as well. I can honestly say I normally go to the grocery store about once a month for a HUGE run and it ends up costing me over 200 dollars but then I get home and have no clue what to do with the stuff I bought and my produce goes bad before I can use it! I'm hoping that by going once a week to the store, using the ad's and working with my coupons all while meal planning I can save more $ for Disney and what ever may come up.

After a couple of weeks of falling off the eat at home wagon, I'm back with a vengence:thumbsup2!

This week: Tuesday-Spaghetti & Meatballs, lettuce salad
Wednesday-Beef Stoganoff
Tonight- Baked Chicken, Corn, Mashed potatoes
Friday- Hot dogs, Baked Beans, apple sauce
Saturday- 2 birthday parties; Yah! 1 kid (junk food and cake), 1 grownup (really good cookout food!!)

Tomorrow is grocery day. Dinner tonight:

Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (DH's homemade sauce)
Parmesean Broccoli
Garlic Toast

Congrats:cool1::cool1::cool1: You should go out and celebrate!

Congratulations! That is amazing!

So happy for you!

Thank You all so much. I am on such a high right now. My grandma and Aunt insisted we all go out so we did.

It is going to be a change of life for sure. It is part time so hours will be odd but I think if we stick to a plan and menu we will be able to keep up our eating at home.
