We made it!!! It's been a long two weeks in between pay weeks but we were strong and we stuck to our menu and ate at home every night!

Tonight we are having chicken bacon wraps with pasta salad and watermelon.

Tomorrow is pay day and we are EATING OUT!

I am going to post my menu through next Friday. On that Saturday, my aunt and uncle are coming for a visit and will be here through the 22nd. They want to go to the store together when they get here so we are not paying for the extra food on our own. Super sweet of them, but it is throwing me off!

Tonight: Steaks, Baked Potato, and Salad

Thursday: Chicken Italian Sausage with Sauteed Peppers and Onions, Corn on the Cob, and Watermelon

Friday: Broiled Salmon with Herb Mustard Glaze, Quinoa, and Sugar Snap Peas

Saturday: Chicken Fajitas with Santa Fe Rice

Sunday: Shrimp Scampi and Salad

Monday: Almost Famous Chimichangas and Rice

Tuesday: Cedar Plank Salmon, Roasted Asparagus, and Salad

Wednesday: Chicken Lo Mein

Thursday: Eggs, Chicken Sausage, Toast, and Fruit

Friday: Skinny Sloppy Joes and Baked Fries

Sunday - Out to dinner, we just had subs, so not too pricey, but still out.
Monday - Garlic Lime Shrimp Tacos with Avocado
Tuesday - Hawaiian Chicken, Rice, Broccoli
Wednesday - Corned Beef & Cabbage, Mashed Potatoes
Thursday - Leftovers
Friday - Pork Chops, Mac N Cheese, Broccoli
Saturday - Steak, Sweet Potatoes, Salad
Sunday - Salmon, Lima Beans, Corn

I stopped at a grocery outlet today- For $2.50 I got a bag of Bertolli Pasta starter kits- a chicken veggie alfredo one. You just add pasta. So I am boiling a pound of pasta-(.88) and they had Alexia frozen rolls for .99! So dinner for the 6 of us is costing me less than $5! I may have to make this a weekly thing if the pasta sauce is good.

The grocery outlet is called Amelia's. And I wasn't blown away but there were a couple of great deals like the ones I got above. Some things priced similar to grocery store. But I will go back after checking their sale flyer. I wish it were closer to me.

We were shopping at the mall this afternoon (something we have not done in ages), so we had a quick late lunch/early dinner. Later on we had some snacks.

I'm trying to get back into it:
Monday: Unstuffed cabbage, pears
Tuesday: BBQ chicken, limas, strawberries and cream
Wednesday: Grilled salmon, boiled potatoes and broccoli
Thursday: Red beans and rice, turkey kielbasa, peaches and cream
Friday: Grilled halibut and one of those Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli dinners
Saturday: hmmm, maybe spaghetti, salad and citrus salad. Haven't had that for awhile.

definitely getting back into it with school upcoming...

this week:
creamy crockpot chicken/broc
spinach and pepperoni calzones with marinara dipping sauce
cooker chops and gravy/mashed potatoes/g beans
beef burgandy/egg noodles/veg
7layer salad/crab and corn chowder
italian casserole/salad

Looking forward to dinner tonight:

Low Country Boil
(shrimp, smoked sausage, onions, red potatoes and corn on the cob all cooked together in crab boil)

Having Pepsi Pot Roast in the slow cooker tonight. Yum! Plus, it takes less than 5 minutes to throw the ingredients in and the beef turns out so tender.

Love this thread. We are trying to stick to our budget to pay our house off early so eating out is something we decided to reduce to save money. Our menu goes Sat - Fri

Sat: Chicken Nachos
Sun: Hamburgers,baked beans, applesauce
Mon: Veggie Lasagna
Tue: Meatloaf, grean beans, pears
Wed: grilled tilapia, baked potatos, salad
Thur: hamburger stroganoff (use leftover meatloaf), carrotts, bisquits
Fri: BBQ Chicken, corn, pineapple

are your chicken nachos made like reg. nachos but with just chicken, sounds yummy!

Tonight we are having pancakes. Getting towards the end of the week and my pantry and fridge are running low!

Tonight Hamburgers and fries

Friday - pulled pork sandwiches, peaches, cole slaw and watermelon

Saturday - leftovers or eat out not sure

Tonight: hamburgers and chips
Friday: split pea soup and bread

Saturday: not sure. DD19 and my sister are driving up. I'm guessing they're in the Yukon Territory right now with no cell reception, so I'm not sure if they'll be here Saturday or not. If they're here, we'll do something Alaskan like grilled halibut or some moose chili. Otherwise, it'll probably be leftovers or sandwiches.

We went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner tonight.

Tomorrow our nephews are coming for a sleep over. I have no idea what we will have. I have to work late and DH will have all 5 kids by himself until I get home. I'm thinking maybe Pizza Hut since they have their $10 any pizza going on.

Saturday DD and I have a birthday party to go to in the afternoon/early evening and DH is on call for work and will, at some point, have to go in for several hours. I hate to eat out again on Saturday but the cupboards and freezer are bare so we'll just have to play that one by ear.

Sunday is DHs company picnic so we'll get fed there.

So, DH and I are gonna go ahead and have the

Hot Dog Wraps
Chips

for dinner tonight instead of take out...because MIL is keeping our kids ALL WEEKEND so tomorrow night we get to go on a real date!!!! :cool1:

Saturday - Mussels with marinara/pasta and salad

Sunday - Grilled burgers/hot dogs, corn on cob, baked beans

Monday - Mexican chicken over rice

Tuesday - Lemon pepper salmon, rice and veggie

Wednesday - out to dinner for daughter's birthday

Thursday - Shrimp and grits with succotash

Friday - Chicken ceaser wraps and pasta salad
