Personally, I think he's over analyzing it. My opinion is the issue has resulted from the fact that the preliminary view of the first week of September was based on a date to date comparison from last year. The problem there is, Labour Day was on Sept 1 last year and this year it is on Sept 7. That is almost a full week difference when comparing week to week. Last year there was a party on Sept 1st, so it got assumed for the same date, even though that date last year was the holiday and this year it's a week before the holiday.
I think the more prudent comparison is to take the week before Labour day last year (Aug 24 - 31) and then map that to the same week leading to Labour Day this year (Aug 30 - Sept 6). I'm betting on a revised calendar coming out that will have hours for the Aug 30 - Sept 6 dates this year looking pretty much the same as Aug 24 - Aug 31 last year. This is the week we travel there and that's how I've based my planning. Of course, I have made the Sept 1 my most flexible day, juuuuuust in case I get lucky and a party lands on that night. Time will tell!
