but I think it's better to do it in stages.
If you can do it in stages, it works best.

Stay safe, NikkiBell!Things are pretty bad here too. I can't get out my backdoor, drifts are huge, and the wind is really bad. It's coming down at two inches an hour right now and going strong. There's already 7+ inches out there and up to 24 predicted. Stay safe, all!
Just saw pic of new panda @ National Zoo in DC rolling around, loving the snow - so cute!![]()
Good luck Nikki, stay safe/warm/powered! (To all DIS'ers in path too!)Over 17 inches here and the bad part of the storm has just started. The National Weather Service just upped the totals to 24-30. I need to go out and clear my front door soon so I'm not trapped in.
Heidi: you have lots of friends on the Boards. Just look at all the msgs above! Hoping you stay warm/powered through the night and well into next wk. Best wishes!Thanx Sam - helps to know you care, and we have each other - and since I live alone, I truly MEAN that!!
Oh I wish I could!! Alas, it's like 20 degrees here, which I realize is practically boiling compared to what everyone is feeling, but 20 in summer isn't that warm!OK, Jes. Time for you to beam some of that liquid Aussie gold sunshine to the US East Coast. Know you can do it with a snap of your fingers. You are Princess Jes, after allps I'm hard at work sending my sunny, crisp Cdn cold front down, as we speak!
Agree, that's not a nice, hot temp for your big summer day. Our weather patterns are def off this yr. Strange stuff.it's like 20 degrees here, which I realize is practically boiling compared to what everyone is feeling, but 20 in summer isn't that warm!
Thanks, Jes. It isn't like we don't regularly get snow in these parts, but this is on the extreme end of things. Typically it's 3-4 inches, maybe 6 inches with a bad storm. Getting more than 12 inches puts this in the ranks of the worst storms on record. NYC closed all bridges and tunnels a few hours ago. That's a pretty serious move to basically cut off access to New York City just to put this in perspective.Wow you guys!! I can't even imagine having to deal with all this!!
I hope you're all safe and warm.
Keep your devices on charge so they're full of battery if the power does go.
Thinking of you all!
Enjoy on Tuesday, Jes!!Oh I wish I could!! Alas, it's like 20 degrees here, which I realize is practically boiling compared to what everyone is feeling, but 20 in summer isn't that warm!
It's Australia Day here in Tuesday (think "Independence Day" kinda) and it's a day for barbecues, beer, sunshine, watching the cricket (or in my case, a delayed showing of WWE Royal Rumble with 20+people at my place) it it's not forecast to be that great :-(
Again, I shouldn't complain, but it's all relative right?
Yep, Steve - Like I said above, that' s how I knew THEY know we're getting punched pretty good! Thanks, Jes.
