Eastern Magic 4-17 for 3 of us - DAY 2 Sunday
My DH gets up very early normally (4:30am) so it was hard to change his body clock. He managed to sleep until 5 or 5:30am though. He was happy to have the verandah to go sit on in the wee hours. At 6am or 6:30am he would go up to Deck 9 and get us coffee. DD12 slept in until 9am on sea days, and then we went to breakfast at Topsiders.
DD12 and I tried Bingo in the morning while DH read his book on the verandah or on Deck 9 or 10. The seas were rough at 13 to 20 ft. due to a storm to the north. None of us felt sick except for me looking at the Bingo cards (like reading in a moving car). DD12 had to do them all and I was okay if looking up. I put on the sea bands I brought, but felt fine after that.
In the afternoon we caught the matinee of The Golden Mickeys at the theater and it was really good. The costumes, talent and effects are Broadway quality in my opinion (although I have only seen Broadway shows on tour in CT at the Oakdale Theater). I cant remember what else we did until dinner, but it was fun and relaxing. Pools were pretty crowded and DD12 did not feel comfortable in the kiddy pool or the family pool (which had young kids as well and it is pretty small. The adults only pool is bigger and there is never too many people in it. DH and I went in it one day when she was doing something on her own, but the jacuzzis were pretty tiny and I kept hitting some mans knees and I felt funny. I ended up sitting on the edge of the pool though and it was pretty cool because the waves were still rough and it made the pool into a wave pool! I then understood why the water was down a level with another runoff area above it.
Dinner was formal for the Captains gala and we were in Animators Palate. DD12 did come and enjoyed the show. Danny and Noel were happy to see her and Danny entertained her with illusion puzzles. After dinner we took in Family Karaoke (just to watch). After that it was 11pm and we are early risers so it was off to bed.
