Easter week crowds....6's? Really?

Touring plans has days leading up to Easter as 6's. Is that even possible?

I don't see how. Some are saying that Easter is so late this year that most schools are having their spring break earlier. Schools here in the Raleigh area, usually do spring break the week AFTER Easter. They DID move it.....to the week BEFORE Easter, which is the week you are asking about. I do think the weeks surrounding Easter will be a LITTLE less crowded than normal, but a 6 is just plain dreaming, in my opinion.

I haven't followed the methodology too closely, but I think TP recalibrated their crowd level scales and criteria within the past several months. Thattoo may help account for something other than 9s and 10s each day

Touring Plans downward adjusted Just recently) the crowd levels for my trip (March 26-March 31) to 6s and 7s.

While people will still come to Disney this spring (i mean .. you are, I am) . .there may be a lot of people delaying their big trip until after Pandora .. or even years later waiting for Star Wars Land.

It sounds good to me! Waiting for Josh to do the April crowd calendar on EasyWDW to see what he thinks.

Easter week is spring break week for most New England states -- maybe all? But it's not like we have a huge population up here. Most people that I know travel this current week (2/20) for February break to get away from the weather.

Funny to see this thread. I just made reservations for Easter weekend yesterday expecting availability would be limited. Pretty much every reservation I wanted I got (even a pass holder discount on the room) so was pleasantly surprised. However, we have been at MK (or Epcot, where they used to do the egg hunts in in United Kingdom) every Easter for the last couple of years. We know what to expect with the crowds - a picture with Mr and Mrs. Bunny and a ride or two (if you are lucky) and that is pretty much it.

We are taking our first Easter trip this year and are anticipating the crowds to be a nightmare. We have been therected over Thanksgiving and it was better than anticipated. With that being said we are planning for it to be busy and we dont plan to ride much because we are taking our 7th month old (at the time) for his first trip. We also didn't have a problem with getting a reservation, fast pass or any of our ADR, so we will see. Fingers crossed

ah no. As much as I love Touring Plans I gotta go with Kenny the Pirate on this one. Insane Crowds.

I'm going over Easter and am really surprised that so many dining packages for Rivers of Light are still available with both Tusker House and Tiffins. I've switched mine around a few times. Lots of availability for both that and Fantasmic. Also got my FP reservations no problem. I booked my trip in December (2 months after ADR opened) and got CRT and BOG reservations no problem.

Expecting the worst but hoping for the best here :)

We're going the week after Easter and I know it will be insane. We did it two years ago and vowed never again LOL
But life happens and that's when we can go, so we'll make the best of it
Definitely going in with low expectations!

I really think that it may not be a 6 but it won't be as bad as some years.
No schools around here are out that week. Ours is in March. While some areas of the country are still around Easter I think many that are usually at Easter are having them earlier. So it will probably alter crowd flows

We're going April 9-14 and it lists most of the days as 8-9, depending on the park.

I don't think it will be a 6 but don't think during the week will be as busy as when Easter is earlier. Our spring break is disconnected from Easter this year which is very atypical. We are going into that week still expecting heavy crowds.

We always go that week and I'd agree with 6's most days at most parks. Only time we notice heavier crowds is mid afternoon at MK. In recent years, Easter week has not been what it used to be when our whole country seemed to have Easter week as the only spring break. Nowadays many areas have split breaks and time frame goes from February right through April.

We are going again this year for Easter week and can't wait. Deals were pretty good and I've had a super easy time getting ADR's and FP's.
