I'm still debating whether to rent at all - - if not, we would use DME to YC, plus a towncar to Universal and back to the airport, and 1 or 2 cabs - - for probably about $150. But if I could get a car for close to that price I think it would be a no brainer.

So far, I'm reserved at Thrifty for $225 (economy; total 9 days), and Budget for $241. I keep checking for better deals but so far haven't had any luck. Can I do better? Has anyone gotten anything cheaper?

Midwest Express gave me 40% off for using their airline, but I would have to pick/deliver care from MCO and we are leaving back to milwaukee by Tampa.

I found Dollar for $29 a day, use the KISS2. We will be getting picked up by their shuttle to pick up our car and we will take it to Tampa and drop it off at the airport. I think we have a Intermediate car.

The problem with Ester break this year is that the KISS code and almost all others posted on Mousesavers won't work. Easter break has been "blacked out" at most sites this year. I wound up with a full sized SUV for 12 days at just over $400 at Thrifty. I have been checking for over 12 months, and the price lowered one night, so I grabbed it. Less than 2 nights later, it was back up again. Keep checking, but DON'T change the ressies that you have untill after you print a new better deal. Changing an original ressie will make you lose your good rate.

Good luck!:)

That's what I'm finding too. Guess I'm lucky to get anything close to $200?

Thanks for the advice tho - - I'll just keep on checkin'. :surfweb: If anything, the DIS has conditioned me to keep checking for codes, advice, dings, replies, everything! :surfweb: I swear my list of things to check grows everytime I log on! :surfweb:

I have a reservation with Dollar for $146 for an Intermediate -- April 8-14.
I also have one with National picking up at the Dolphin and returning to MCO -- but it about $30 higher than the Dollar reservation.
