Easter - Spring Break 2005

What are your opinions on the expected crowds next Easter at the parks? I understand Easter is always a busy time but considering it's March 27th instead of in the typical spring break weeks for most schools......will there be a difference? Or is it all a wash...Easter is huge followed by the first 2 weeks in April (typical Northern Spring break weeks)? Thanks

Don't know whether the early Easter date will change the park attendance but I do know that we will be there

I just posted on another thread about our CT April break being tied to Patriot's Day, the 3rd Monday in April. In the past, when Easter is early this makes that week in April a wonderful time to visit. Of course everyone there is from New England.

That is when our next trip is planned for.

Well, actually, the week before "Easter Week". We go to my SIL's house in Jacksonville for their actual Spring Break. We are hoping that will help us with the crowd levels!

I am in the Dallas area, and our Spring Break typically falls in early -mid March (as do most southern states, I believe). Next year with the early Easter, they are combining our Spring/Easter breaks for the first time...thus you now have the crowds for the two breaks combined at Easter. I can't speak for every state down here, but I do know Mississippi always has their break in early-mid March as well. Just wanted to share that info. I had planned to take a WDW trip that Spring Break, but I am not anymore because I don't choose to be there over Easter. We're going end of May now. Have fun!!!

Thanks everyone for your comments/thoughts....we really don't have much choice with the dates due the grandkid's vacation dates. We'll be at our condo in Naples so we available most anytime...oh well, we've done it before, we'll have a great time again!

Our school is going to be closed the last week in April next year for spring break. Can I possibly hope that this may be a fairly slow week in the World? It seems most states will have the end of March or beginning of April off for Easter instead. We're just getting a long weekend for that. I'm seriously considering going the last week of April next year instead of President's week.

Is this true that if our MA Spring Break is toward the end of April and about 2 or 3 weeks AFTER Easter that it won't be too crowded?

Next year Easter is March 27 and our Spring Break is April 18 (three weeks later). Would it be a nice week to go?

We've always gone Oct, Dec and also Sept but now that my DD are getting older, I don't want to take them out of school.

Please give me your opinion on Spring Break the end of April!

My Easter break is the last week in April next year and I'm in NJ. I am planning on going and hoping the crowds will be tolerable, but I think alot of schools are doing a 4 day weekend for Easter in March and a week off at the end of April. At least, that's the trend in southern NJ.
