Easter 2008 - just how busy will it be???

We are off again next April (9th - 25th) as most will know the Easter school hols are in April next year - I want to start looking at my itinerary (keen or what!!!) and am just not sure how busy it is really going to be!!! I know it will be busy - but not sure if it will be normal Easter busy or less busy - due to the Easter dates being different from normal - hope you are still with me...

Anyway - pls help if you can..

Easter is in March next year
I think you mean some areas are having an American type spring break instead of the traditional Easter holiday, surely they can't call it Easter hols when its not Easter. Anyways here in Kirklees its same as always break up for Good Friday for 2 weeks. So looks like the country is all going away different dates, also I believe most US schools have finished their break for your dates so could possibly be a good time to go, I guess we will hit the peak time again like usual. Fly Easter Sat and return home 5th April.
We flew same this year, Easter Sat for 2 weeks, 1st week very busy 2nd week got better but still busy, avoided afternoons in parks and it was fine, just did mornings and evenings.

Nattyk - we are out from April 1st to 17th next year, and the busy day guides suggest that the crowds will be tapering off from approx 4th/5th April onwards, so you should be fine.

As wayneg says above it will be very much busier over the actual Easter break, which your dates don't clash with

We go on 14th March for 3 weeks and are expecting heavy crowds, especially Easter weekend, to be honest we will just plan our theme parks days around the quieter times.

so if I plan most of the park visit for the end of the 1st week and the start of the 2nd week we should be ok(ish!!!) ??

Disney will be very busy on 2008 Grad Nite Dates: April 18, 19, 25, 26

Disney Grad Nite is an exclusive annual event for High School Seniors. Hotels are generally really busy as are surrounding areas.

I booked our trip for 12th-26th April, not knowing at the time about GradNights (I'd not found The Dis then!)...and I've gone and booked both of those weekends! I've just figured that we'll avoid MK those days and possibly use them to head out to SeaWorld and Universal...even the waterparks...I'm sure we'll survive...I hope

We didn't find them a problem, they were all arriving as we left, they go for the evening when MK is closed to general public,. They don't go in all day usually as they are there until 4am, and its a seperate hard ticketed event.
